As the demand for pediatric care in North Texas grows, Children's Health of Texas and the University of Texas Southwestern have joined forces to build a new pediatric hospital in Dallas. With a total investment of $5 billion, a total construction area of about 420,000 square meters, and a planned bed capacity of 552, the project will become one of the largest and most advanced pediatric hospitals in the United States.

When the new pediatric hospital opens, the existing Dallas pediatric hospital will be fully relocated to the new hospital. The new hospital includes a Level I pediatric trauma center with 90 emergency department examination rooms and 24 observation rooms.
