In the old days, the Yellow River flooded, and the east and west sides of the market town were washed into two large ditches. Hence the name Shuanggou Town. According to historical records: East and West Two Ditch, in the middle of the market, because of the famous town, the old ditch is deep and can be berthed with merchant ships, double ditch and two ditches, summer and winter dry, ships trace the east and west two ditches up, can go directly to the north of the street. The name of Shuanggou wine comes from Shuanggou Town.
In 1977, the fossil of an ancient drunken ape unearthed in Xiacaowan, Shuanggou Town, became a fossil because the ape was drunk after eating the naturally fermented fruit. After 100 experts have investigated and demonstrated, the Shuanggou area is the place where the natural winemaking environment and natural wine originate.
In 1732, in the tenth year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, He Quande, a native of Menggao Village, Taigu County, Shanxi Province, came to Shuanggou Town to establish the "Quande Daqu Bad Fang", which formed a three-legged trend with the original "Guangsheng" and "Yongyuan" two bad houses. It is known as "the fragrance floats for ten miles, and the taste of the boat rests".
In 1910 (the second year of Xuantong), the Nanyang Industry Conference was held in the area of Nanjing Sanpailou, Dingjiaqiao and Zizhulin, and won the gold medal.
In 1912, Mr. Sun Yat-sen commended Shuanggou Daqu, which won the gold medal and the first place in the first class liquor in the Nanyang Industry Association, and happily waved the inscription "Shuanggou Liquan" to advocate industry to save the country, encourage the development of national industry and revitalize the national brand.
In 1943, when the head of the New Fourth Army led the revolutionary struggle in northern Jiangsu, he was also stationed in the "Quande Bad Fang" and praised his wine as "worthy of the world's first-class".
As a place to eat, stay and settle down for anti-Japanese officers and soldiers, the liquor shop secretly transmitted information and purchased military medicines, and was known as the "Anti-Japanese Hotel" at that time.
In 1950, the people of Sihong County united with other small wineries in the town on the basis of "Quande Bad Fang" to establish the local state-owned Shuanggou Distillery of the Su County Commissioner's Office.
In 1955, due to the adjustment of administrative regions, Sihong County was transferred from Anhui Province to the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, and the distillery was renamed as the local state-owned Sihong County Shuanggou Distillery.
In 1984, the 4th National Wine Appraisal and the 5th National Wine Appraisal in 1989 were both rated as China's famous wines.
In 1997, it was restructured into Jiangsu Shuanggou Liquor Group.
In August 2005, the high-end brand Jumbo Fang was launched, and the dual-brand strategy of liquor was started.
In 2006, VV Group became the largest shareholder of Shuanggou Liquor.
In 2010, it was acquired by Yanghe Co., Ltd. (Sujiu Group).
In 2011, Yanghe wholly owned Shuanggou Liquor.
These two bottles are the double-ditch Daqu celadon of the nineties, the glaze is smooth, the color is quiet and pure, the bottle body is heavy, and the shape is dignified and simple. Later, many wineries imitated celadon wine bottles, and Shuanggou perfectly combined celadon and wine, showing that celadon culture has a long history with Chinese wine culture.
The label on the mouth of the bottle is printed with the China Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Import and Export Corporation (now COFCO), indicating that it is for export.
