This is January 23, 1956, Zhong, a villager in Daxi Village, Wushan County, as usual, went to Fengjie City to sell vegetables with vegetables, and walked in Qutang Gorge when he suddenly heard a boatman on a wooden boat in the river shouting loudly.

There was a lot of wind in the canyon, Zhong listened carefully to hear it clearly, it turned out that the boatman was shouting to him: "There is a corpse by the river in Qutang Gorge, you go to Fengjie City to find the Public Security Bureau to report the case!" ”

Zhong was shocked and hurriedly agreed. When I wanted to ask the corpse was **, the launching boat had already drifted far away.

Zhong looked along the way suspiciously, but did not find any corpses, and muttered in his heart, "Is it the one who ran the boat to save me?" So Zhong felt that the code was not real, so he didn't report the case, and went home directly after selling the vegetables.

On the afternoon of the next day, Wushan boatman Huang and other eight people also saw the corpse by the river on the boat, so they dared to go ashore in the gorge to inspect, and several people happened to bump into someone on the sidewalk on the cliff wall of the mountain, so they called out to the person to go to the public security bureau to report the case.

The shouts were heard by several militiamen in Caotang Township who were chopping firewood in the gorge, and several militiamen hurriedly went down to the scene in the canyon to check the corpses.

Early the next morning, one of the militiamen, Zhang, went to the Fengjie Public Security Bureau to report the case.

The Fengjie County Public Security Bureau immediately organized forces and the Wushan County Public Security Bureau cadres and police to conduct three consecutive on-site investigations on the afternoon of January 25, 26, and 27.

Judging from the results of on-site exploration, the scene of the body was located on the rocks of the river dam under the cliff on the north bank of the Yangtze River, and the sidewalk from Wushan to Fengjie was above. The corpse was a young male about 35 years old, dressed as a local farmer, with a ruptured skull at the top of his head, exposed brain tissue, five upper left teeth in the mouth, three lower incisors, and two black-purple ecchymoses in front of his throat, about 9 centimeters long and 3 centimeters wide. Multiple fractures and wounds were seen throughout the body, but they were generally judged to be postmortem trauma.

The deceased had a wound of 1 cm wide and 6 cm long 5 cm below his right knee, which was considered to be a pre-mortem injury, the bleeding had been coagulated, and there were several soft tissue contusions on the back of the right foot.

The main items on the body and at the scene were extracted: the deceased was wearing a blue cloth single coat on the upper body, an old cotton coat of blue twill, 5 jiao 1 cent in the purse on the right, a copper belt buckle, 1 red copper ring, an iron cigarette box, a copper cigarette bag rod, 3 catties of Sichuan grain stamps, and the mouth of the bag was locked with a lock needle. In the right pocket, there is a small amount of "asarium" (herbs) in a paper packet.

The deceased wore an old single piece of white clay cloth, and the Sichuan cloth ticket in the right pocket was 1 zhang 4 feet 5 inches. The lower body wears blue cloth pants on the outside and a pair of white clay cloth old pants inside. The feet wear a pair of white cotton gauze socks, fine hemp rope garter belts, and white homespun cloth foot cloth in the socks. The left sock is covered with a brown piece and wears straw sandals full of ears, and the right sock is half-taken off without straw sandals.

There is only one family in Qutang Gorge, about 200 meters away from the scene, according to the resident Granny Li, the son of the family went out to relatives and did not return, there are only two old and one young three people in the family for more than ten days, at this time it is the cold winter wax moon, and it is snowing outside, so the house is closed after dark, and the wind is strong in the canyon, so there is no abnormal movement. After investigation, the public security officers confirmed that Granny Li's son had indeed gone out for more than ten days and had not returned.

Then there is a child in Qutang village who was out collecting firewood on January 23 and picked up a burnt straw sandal on a rock near the scene, which was described in the same shape as that worn by the deceased.

According to the results of the on-site investigation and autopsy, the public security personnel judged that the time of death of the deceased should be before January 22, 1956 (the tenth day of the first lunar month), and ruled out the possibility of suicide. The two ecchymoses on the front of the deceased's neck, thought to have formed by the pressure of a strip-like hard object, could have been fatal.

Multiple scars on the head, chest, abdomen, and legs of the corpse are thought to have been caused by a fall from a rock after death. Based on the purple scar on the chest, the straw sandals falling off on the rock, the half-off of a sock, the pants falling on the buttocks, and the clenching of the two fists, it is considered that there was a resistance and struggle before death.

Through the simulation of the scene, ** is likely to kneel on the chest and abdomen of the deceased, and then force the throat of the deceased with his hand or blunt object, and then push down the cliff after the deceased suffocates to death, disguised as accidentally falling into the rock to death, in order to confuse the reconnaissance sight.

From the cigarette pouch, cigarette box, a small amount of cash, food stamps and other items mixed in one of the deceased's clothing bags, it is inferred that it may be a murder for money, and it cannot be ruled out that ** is a habitual offender.

The scene of the corpse is very close to the Yangtze River, the terrain is steep, before the liberation, there are often bandits robbing the road here, that is, on the 15th of January, just captured a lawbreaker, in broad daylight in the scene about a mile east of the place to rob, will be robbed to the bottom of the rock, although the lawbreakers were caught by passers-by on the spot, but affect the nearby masses do not dare to enter the gorge alone.

At present, it is the cold winter of the lunar month, and there are many pedestrians on the road during the day, and there are peasants entering the gorge in groups every day to cut firewood, and the impact of the case on 15 January is that the people entering the gorge are more vigilant. It is not easy to commit crimes during the day, but it is more likely to commit crimes at night.

Although the deceased was not tall, it was certain that he was a manual laborer, and if the crime had been committed at night, the road surface on the rock was narrow and the slope was on the slope, and if the deceased and the murderer were evenly matched and fought desperately, there was a risk of rolling down the rock together. From this analysis, ** is stronger than the deceased, has the certainty of defeating the deceased, and has premeditated, intending to commit the crime by two people.

It is very likely that he knew the deceased before his death, walked together in the gorge, and when resting on the way, **took advantage of the deceased's unpreparedness, knocked him to the ground and killed him, and it is more likely that he was pushed under the rock.

In addition, judging from the fact that there were a small amount of Sichuan grain stamps and cloth stamps in the deceased's pocket, his feet were full of ears and straw shoes, his hands and feet were rough and his entire skin color was rough, he may have been a manual laborer in the central and high mountains of Sichuan not too far from Fengjie.

Based on the speculation made by these clues, the investigators felt that they should be sure to find ** quickly. As a result, Fengjie and Wushan counties immediately organized police forces to conduct a joint investigation. First of all, the identity information of the deceased was mainly ascertained, and the households on the roadside at the exit of Daxi Ferry, Baidicheng Ferry, and the exit at both ends of Kuixia were the key targets of investigation.

According to the suspicious situation reflected, personnel were promptly dispatched to the relevant places of Hubei Jianshi Sulfur Plant, Wuxi, Wushan, and Fengjie to conduct investigations. At the same time, the district and township public security officers of Wushan and Fengjie were notified to visit each village to see if there were any people who had gone out and not returned.

During the Spring Festival, the scouts who participated in the investigation went deep into the mountainous areas and rural areas to make key inspections. And the physical characteristics, clothing and skin color of the deceased were published in the "Wanxian **" at that time.

The results of the investigation of more than two months were unexpected, and after many visits and investigations, all parties had no clues, and the suspicious situations and clues that had been reflected were repeatedly verified and all denied, and the case reached a deadlock.

The matter was once again reported to the then Wanxian Prefecture Public Security Office, the Wanxian Prefecture Public Security Office, and the Wushan and Fengjie County Public Security Bureaus reorganized their forces to conduct a comprehensive investigation, inspected and analyzed the relics extracted from the scene, and then held a case analysis meeting to summarize several useful information.

Clause. 1. Judging from the socks and footcloths worn by the deceased, they are all new, and from the analysis of the mud marks on the footcloths and the soles of the socks, it is also the first time to wear, which shows that it took a day at most. The footcloth is a narrow cloth head, which is covered with the words "Wang Zhenhua", and there are still 14 in the deceased's pocket5-foot Sichuan cloth tickets (only 5-inch cloth tickets are accepted for narrow cloth below 3 feet), and 15-foot tickets were issued per person in rural areas in the second half of 1955, which can show that the deceased was a footcloth bought before leaving.

Clause. 2. There were still a few raw sunflower seeds in the purse of the deceased's pocket, which were most likely brought out at home, while sunflowers were mostly produced in the middle and high mountains.

Clause. 3. The straw sandals worn by the deceased and the socks were also covered with brown flakes, which were often worn by alpine farmers. The deceased's clothes, headscarves, straw sandals and other items all have a strong smell of leaf smoke, which also indicates that he was a person living in the mountains.

According to the analysis of the above situation, on the one hand, it is necessary to find out where "Wang Zhenhua" is the best person in the hand-weaving industry in Fengjie and Wushan, and where the similar homespun cloth (the deceased's footcloth) is sold, so as to provide a certain direction for the reconnaissance work.

This time, a total of more than 100 suspicious people were discharged, and after house-to-house verification and verification, the entire discharge of more than 100 suspicious people was once again all denied. . . .

Many people in society have begun to have doubts about the public security system, and some people even said, "If this headless public case can be found out, then it will really be the reincarnation of Bao Gong." ”

However, the public security personnel were not discouraged and again conducted investigations and verifications one by one in accordance with the analysis and investigation plan. The hard work paid off, and finally inquired about Wang Zhenhua in Wushan, Wang Zhenhua is a handicraft, processing white and narrow cloth for supply and marketing cooperatives, and each piece of cloth is covered with the words "Wang Zhenhua" in blue or red, and this kind of cloth can be marketed in Wuxi and other places.

According to the masses, the straw sandals worn by the deceased were very similar to those worn by the Gaoshan people in the Damiao District and Tonggubao in Wushan County. According to the origin and main sales place of the footcloth in Wushan, there are a number of alpine townships and villages in Wushan, so the focus of reconnaissance should be on the alpine townships and villages in Wushan and Wuxi County.

The public security personnel went back and forth four times back and forth in the high mountains of the two counties, and traveled all over the mountains and rivers of the mountainous areas and the 12 peaks of Wushan Mountain.

At the end of June of that month, the public security officers once again summarized all the clues of the investigation work and held a discussion meeting again.

First of all, you have to start with the foot cloth, the first time to wear, and the trip is a day, and Wushan County to the scene is exactly a hundred miles, this cloth is produced in Wushan, all, the focus of future work should be concentrated in Wushan.

As a result, the public security departments and public security committees at all levels in Wushan were mobilized and extensively mobilized the masses, first in the neighborhood committees and inn industries in Chengguan Town.

Various focus groups and individual forums were held to present the remains extracted from the scene, and the characteristics and circumstances of the deceased were introduced. At the same time, we can dispel the concerns of some people who are afraid to get to the bottom of the problem, and we can talk about how much information and views we can know. At the meeting, I couldn't remember it for a while, and I couldn't say it well, but I could slowly recall it when I went home, and I wanted to avenge the deceased.

At the same time, public security personnel visited more than 40 large and small units in the urban area, whether there were any relatives and friends of the workers before the Spring Festival, and whether they knew about the relevant circumstances of the case. A combination of a census of passenger registration and a focus on verification.

At this time, Wu Zilin, the director of the inn industry, provided a clue: "Yang Zisheng had a guest in the inn on the eighth day of the lunar month last year (January 20, 1956), saying that he was going back to his hometown above Yunyang. "

The investigators then found Yang Zisheng and asked him to tell the story of the situation.

Yang Zisheng recalled: "There is such a person, named Bao Shulin, although his dress and figure are similar to those you introduced, but when he left at noon, he said that he was going to Wushan Steamship Wharf Maituo to take a boat, and Zhao Zhongguo, Huang Daogeng, and Huang Jishan, who came on the same road, left in the morning. ”

So, the public security officer checked the passenger registration book and wrote: "Bao Shulin, male, 35 years old, from Luoping District, Wushan County, returning home.""and so on.

So the public security officers immediately took the remnants of the deceased to Muliping to investigate, and went to Zhuxian Township ** to visit the township clerk and said: "Bao Shulin has returned to his hometown in Dianjiang, and he has sent three letters to Huang Daogeng, who originally lived in the same hospital, and I also helped to read the letter, which is absolutely not wrong." Once again, the trail was interrupted.

The public security personnel had no choice but to take the deceased's clothes and other items, and then went to other townships and villages in Guanyang District and Luoping District to recheck the relocation and outgoing population, but they still found nothing, and the reconnaissance work became a deadlock again.

At this time, a public security investigator suggested that if the deceased took Wushan City as the starting point, in addition to taking the sidewalk from Wushan to Fengjie, if he took a wooden boat from the water to the shore of Daxi, it was not impossible to walk.

Therefore, with the assistance of the water police and relevant units, several meetings of the boat people were held to publicize the facts of the case and the relevant circumstances of the deceased. In addition to their own recollections, the boat people are also requested to publicize and explain the approximate time and circumstances of the case, and reflect in a timely manner if there is a situation.

One day in mid-July, Dai Mou, the leader of the boat people's group 45 miles away from Wushan City, came to the Wushan County Public Security Bureau to report that the woman of the tailor Wang who lived on the side of Pigutuo Road said: "In the lunar month of last year, two men, one tall and one short, went to their home to take shelter from the rain and rest their breath, the short man was about 35 years old, and his clothes were very similar to what was said at the meeting. I also ate red lotus rice (it was true that there was red lotus in the stomach of the deceased). The person at the higher point is younger, and he said that he is going back to Chongqing and is somewhere below"etc.

The public security police hurriedly followed the leader of the boat people, with the remnants extracted from the scene, to verify, Wang Tailor woman carefully recalled, in addition to talking about the situation said by the acting team leader, also said: "During the boiling time, the short man grabbed the sunflower seeds for me to eat, he opened his backpack, and I saw a lot of food stamps, dressed like this clothes, and spoke with an accent that did not look like a local."

This clue is the same person as Yang Zisheng, the owner of the inn, judging from the clothes and shoes.

In order to clarify the doubts in time, the public security officers immediately brought the relics at the scene and went to Jinping Village, Jinping Township, where Bao Shulin lived, to verify it.

The investigation learned that the small place of Bao Shulin's original residence is called the Huang family compound, and 4 households live in the same courtyard, Bao was arrested by the Kuomintang before the liberation and escaped, and came here to do long-term work in the landlord Huang Daogeng's house for more than ten years, during which he went to the Li family in Jinshui Village, Luoping Township to work for a year, and the land reform was allocated to the Huang family.

Last year, my father in Dianjiang County wrote to him that his brother had drowned and was short of labor, so he wanted to go home as soon as possible. In the winter month, Bao actively prepared to go home, exchanged the rations for more than 190 catties of food stamps and raised travel expenses at the grain station, and left for his hometown on the sixth day of the lunar month, and mailed three letters in the first month, March, and May, which also talked about asking Huang Daogeng to help collect the accounts, etc., and the detective also read the three letters handed over by Huang Daogeng.

At the same time, the local farmers also identified and told the characteristics, structures and ** of the deceased's clothes, cigarette pouches, copper rings, straw shoes and other items at the scene, which were confirmed to be wrapped in the forest. However, the three letters sent from Bao Shulin's hometown in Dianjiang County are really difficult to understand.

Pay attention to avoid startling snakes. Was it that after Bao Shulin was killed, the perpetrator went to Dianjiang to write a letter under his false name to hide people's eyes, or did Bao Shulin change his clothes after killing people?

Combined with other circumstances, it can be preliminarily determined that the writer of Dianjiang, whether it is true or fake, is a major suspect in this case, or it may be an impostor.

It is estimated that there are three possibilities: one is the lurking enemy special elements, the second is the escapee, and the third is the single bandit. The first of them is more likely, but how does this person know that Bao Shulin has returned to his hometown and can get close, and at the same time knows the situation of Bao Shulin's hometown? The work must be carried out from Huang Daogeng, Huang Jishan, Zhao Zhongguo and other personnel who sent Bao Shulin to Wushan City.

It happened that the Dianjiang County Public Security Bureau called and told that the existing Bao Shulin is of medium stature, speaks with a smile, has a Hubei accent, and is the production captain of a senior agricultural production cooperative.

According to this situation, it is likely that it is a bag of forests impersonated by bandits. In order to catch everything and prevent escape, on the one hand, he sent detectives to Dianjiang to assist in the reconnaissance, and on the other hand, he focused on investigating the activities of Erhuang and Yizhao in Wushan, and denied the two in terms of time.

Only Huang Jishan went home one day late, and one day after leaving the Yang family's inn, his whereabouts were unknown, and the suspicion was serious, but Huang was loyal and upright, had never done anything bad, and it was unlikely that he would participate in the killing of Bao Shulin, but it was estimated that he knew a certain situation, so he immediately focused on Huang Jishan to do the work of policy attack, talked with Huang more than ten times, and repeatedly taught Huang to tell the truth.

In the end, Huang Cai said hesitantly: "Aunt and nephew Li Jialin escaped in Wushan in 1954, and then Li's brother Li Jinshi made a special trip to Wushan to inquire and go home, and he went around saying that Li Jialin had committed suicide by jumping into the water. His mother came to my house to play, and her two sisters talked about Li Jialin, and they didn't cry at all. . . If Li Jialin conspired with Lao Bao, he would have a bad conscience, Lao Bao is really an honest man."

Checking the fugitive files found that among the seven fugitives in Luoping District, Li Jialin was a puppet officer of the Kuomintang, and after being dismissed, he worked as a clerk in Wushan Middle School, and was detained by the county court in October 1954 for ** and other crimes.

Dianjiang County also issued a ** check to prove that the "Bao Shulin" still in Dianjiang was moved back to his hometown from Wushan, middle school culture, the current private school teacher, during the Spring Festival entertainment, took the initiative to play the harmonica, helped people to paint eyebrows and other activities were actively participated. And the real bag grove is illiterate people. The appearance characteristics and hobbies of the "Bao Shulin" of the Qiandianjiang households are consistent with Li Jialin, but there is still no absolute certainty that it is Li Jialin.

Therefore, it is necessary to educate Huang Jishan patiently and explain the policy. Inspired by the policy, Huang said that Li and Bao were walking from Wushan City to Fengjie together, and Bao Shulin also agreed that Li Jialin would go to his house to settle down, but he could pretend to be his uncle and younger brother (who was arrested in the same year as Bao, and then became a soldier and had no news) to return to his hometown together...

Huang repeatedly stated that he did not know that Li Jialin was plotting to kill Bao Shulin. So far, the detectives who concentrated on Dianjiang and Wushan repeatedly studied Li Jialin's ** and other situations. It was unanimously confirmed that the "Bao Shulin" of Group 8 of Xinmin Village, Jiefeng Township, Dianjiang County was Li Jialin, who had escaped from prison and absconded from Wushan, thus relieving the suspicion that the latent enemy elements were committing crimes. It is one or several people who commit the crime, and the only way to solve the problem is to get a close grasp of Li Jialin's interrogation and combine investigation and trial.

On August 9, 1956, the Dianjiang County Public Security Bureau arrested Li Jialin and escorted him to the Wushan County Detention Center at the end of August. At the beginning of the interrogation, Li Jialin only gave his name, came to Bao's house with Bao Shulin's relocation certificate, and Bao Shulin took another relocation certificate to a factory in Chongqing, and refused to confess his criminal methods.

After the lie that Bao Shulin was still alive was exposed, Li made up a lot of attempts to cause trouble to others, and falsified the means of committing the crime many times.

After more than 50 interrogations and repeated verifications, he had mastered the exact factual materials, and all kinds of falsehoods and cunning tricks were broken, and he felt that he could no longer resist, so he told his own history, the process of committing the crime, and the motive and purpose as follows:

Li Jialin (also known as Li Yaoqian, pseudonym Li Shanzhong, impersonation Bao Shulin), male, 30 years old, from Jinshui Village, Luoping Township, Wushan County, graduated from Badong Middle School, joined the Kuomintang army in 1946, and successively served as warrant officer chief of special services, clerk, lieutenant adjutant and other reactionary positions.

After the liberation, he was trained in Shanghai in 1950, repatriated home in 1951, and studied in the Wushan County cadre class in August of that year, and participated in the work of grain requisition and land reform. From 1953 to 1954, when he was a clerk in Wushan Middle School, he was arrested by the Wushan County People's Court in October 1954 for raping several female students.

sneaked home under the pseudonym Li Shanzhong, and successively went to the mountains on the border between Badong County and Luoping to sell tea and liquor, and found foreigners Xu, Han, and Du to be "godsons" and "door-to-door sons" and buy migration permits, and other means, in a vain attempt to leave and hide for a long time, but all failed.

In the winter moon of the lunar calendar in 1955, he went to his aunt Huang Jishan's house (Group 6 of Jinping Village, Zhuxian Township) to hide, and inadvertently found Bao Shulin (a Kuomintang deserter and a native of Dianjiang County) who had lived with Huang Tong's production group for more than ten years, and was ready to move back to his hometown.

I also called Huang Jiangbao's migration certificate to take a look at it, and felt that the number of people in the column was "."One"Change".IIIt was difficult to change, and he was afraid that there would be problems with different handwriting when he added his name, so Li immediately came up with the idea of killing Bao Shulin and impostoring. After knowing the news that Bao Shulin was going to leave for his hometown on the 6th day of the lunar month, Li Cheng actively raised money for the journey, went to Huang Jishan's house on the 4th day of the lunar month, and asked Huang Bei to make wine and food for Bao Shulin, and took the opportunity to meet Bao.

On the evening of the fifth day of the lunar month, Li and Bao met very affectionately, and the two talked about family life, and Li recorded Bao's family profile. That night, several relatives and friends who had dinner together agreed on the route to set off the next day (to prevent others from discovering Li Jialin), and walked from Wushan City to Fengjie to take a steamer.

On the morning of January 18, 1956 (the sixth day of the lunar month), Li Cheng walked a small road to Feng Weigang's (Li's father-in-law) house in Xiufeng Village, a suburb of Wushan City, and waited for a bag, Lu Jinshi, Bao Shulin, Huang Jishan, Zhao Zhongguo, and Huang Daogeng, who carried medicinal herbs, took the big road and arrived in Wushan City on the seventh day of the lunar month.

On the eighth day of the lunar month, Zhao Zhongguo and Huang Daogeng went home after selling medicinal materials, Lu Jinshi went to the stackhouse to pick up Bao Shulin, Huang Jishan went to Feng Weigang's house as a guest, and at night Li Cheng called Bao Shulin to Feng Guangqun (Li's wife) bedroom, and asked in detail about Bao Shulin's Shenggeng Bazi, the personnel in his hometown, relatives, etc., and recorded them in a notebook, so that he could go home in the name of Bao Shulin without showing suspicions.

On January 21, 1956 (the ninth day of the lunar month), before dawn, Li and Bao were led by Xiang Weigong (Feng Weigang's own brother) to Hongshiliang, and Xiang Weigong and Lu Jinshi returned.

Li and Bao each carried their luggage and walked along the road from Wushan to Fengjie. On the way, the township and village cadres who had a meeting in Wushan City returned to the village, and Li was afraid of being recognized, so he went to the house surnamed Wang on the side of the road to take refuge, boiled red lotus and ate it and continued on the road. After arriving at the roadside at the mouth of Fengjie Gorge (on the other side of Daxi Town), it was already dark, and I wanted to stay here, and the shopkeeper said: "There was a robbery by bad people in the gorge not long ago, and although I was caught by the woodcutter at that time, I didn't dare to walk alone in the gorge recently."

After hearing this, Bao was frightened and offered to stay in this hotel and leave the next day. Li did not forget the murderous intention, and thought that it was a good time to wrap up the forest in the dead of night in the gorge that night. Just as he was about to wash his feet, two steamers passed by in the direction of Fengjie, and Li proposed that he must rush to Fengjie tonight to board the ship.

Bao reluctantly agreed to run to Fengjie at night, and the two walked into Kuixia with a flashlight. Along the way, Li Cheng peeked where he could directly push the bag down the river, so that there was no body and no scene to check.

Li followed the bag to the bellows gorge (black rock beach), and heard the sound of the rapids of the Yanxia River very loud, Li pretended that his stomach hurt and could not walk, and the bag helped him forward, and Li immediately sat down and said: "The pain is so bad that I can't stand."

The bag went forward dozens of zhang away and put down the backpack, turned around and carried Li to the front to find a shelter to rest, while the bag squatted, Li Cheng immediately took advantage of the situation to lift the bag and go down the rock into the river. As everyone knows, there is a bush hanging two meters below the road. Bao Liansheng shouted urgently, "**, help!" "Desperately climbed to the side of the road.

Prisoner Li immediately pressed the bag to the ground, knelt on his abdomen, pressed the bag's neck with the iron bar he had prepared before departure, and beat him with a stone. Seeing that the bag did not move, Li unbuttoned the deceased's clothes, took out the money and belongings and put them in his own pocket, left some change and a few catties of food stamps, cigarette boxes, dry tobacco bags and other clothes bags containing the bag, buttoned them, put on the socks that the deceased had bounced off and a straw sandal (the other one was not seen), and pushed the deceased down the rock.

Li seemed to hear the sound of the deceased falling into the river, and felt that it was okay. After staying overnight in Fengjie City, Li took his luggage to tie up the quilt cover and other covers, and after staying overnight in Fengjie City, he took a wooden boat to Yunyang County to stay overnight, and sent a letter to Bao's father, Bao Futian, in the name of Bao Shulin, saying that he had left for home.

He took a wooden boat to Wanxian City and stayed for a few days, and then took a car to Liangping County to buy a bottle of ink, which was deliberately splashed on the migration certificate and erased the word "illiterate" so that he could go to Dianjiang and report that he had graduated from middle school, which would be the basis for working in factories or institutions in the future.

Bao Shulin's father, Bao Futian, is 71 years old, and is desperately looking forward to his son's early arrival at home for the New Year, Li Cheng went to Dianjiang County to live in a boarding house for a few days, first, to learn more about some customs, and second, in order not to appear that his son left home at the age of 19 and returned home at the age of 35 and did not know his father, he wrote a letter to ask someone to bring it to Bao's father, claiming that he was sick in the city**, and it was difficult to walk and carry luggage, so he asked his father to pick up his son and go home.

On February 8, 1956 (the twenty-seventh day of the lunar month), Bao's father and son-in-law Liu Youwen (who had never seen Bao Shulin) entered the city and found them"Bao Shulin" lived in the stack house, the boss shouted Bao Shulin, someone to meet. When Li saw an old man and a young man from the window, he shouted very affectionately: "Daddy, you are here."

Bao's father whispered to his son-in-law with suspicion: "The forest calls me Bao Bao at home, why do you call me daddy now, and it doesn't look like it." Son-in-law Liu Youwen was very arrogant and explained: "He is out of the woods.

Ten. It's been six or seven years, of course, everything will change, it's possible for people to grow taller, and our family is poor, I know which one will ask to be a son! ”

Bao's father thought about it and thought that what his son-in-law said was reasonable, the relocation procedures were complete, the name was correct, and the date of birth was the same as Bao Shulin, and Bao Futian and his son-in-law hurriedly picked up "their son.""Went home.

Under the claim of Bao's father, others would not have thought that Lao Bao brought home an impostor, and they all felt that there was an educated and capable person in the village. Li Gong's courteous performance such as going to Bao's house and actively raising funds to renovate the dilapidated old grass house also eliminated Bao's father's suspicion of Li Gong. Li committed rape and defilement of Bao Shulin's brother-in-law and became pregnant, and often quarreled with Bao Futian and other means, and after trying to force Bao Futian to death, no one suspected that Bao Shulin was fake, causing Bao Futian to hang himself.

Once, fortunately, his daughter-in-law felt that he was too early and tried to hang himself. Li also disguised himself as active, deceived the trust of local cadres, and soon served as the production team leader, scorekeeper, and teacher of the senior society. Li also carried out a large-scale campaign in a vain attempt to leave the countryside and enter enterprises and institutions to achieve the goal of permanent hiding.

However, Li's good dream did not last long, and finally on October 21, 1958, in Wushan County, Li Jialin was identified in accordance with the law, escorted to the execution ground, and executed.

In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, society was still in a turbulent political environment, and some Kuomintang dismissed personnel and enemy agents to adopt impersonation methods to replace the identities of others in order to evade punishment and other purposes.

Li Jialin in the case, because a capital "one" can not be changed to "two" on the murderous intent, can be described as extremely cruel, he has carefully planned and prepared, choose the right time and place to act, because of its sophisticated means and criminal motives hidden, resulting in the case has never progressed, and due to the imperfect social supervision system at that time, evidence collection and investigation are difficult, resulting in the difficulty of solving the case, almost became a headless case. After returning to Dianjiang, he planned to get rid of Bao's father in order to eliminate the evidence of his guilt and the possibility of being discovered.

In short, in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the public security personnel gradually uncovered the truth of this case of impersonation and murder through in-depth investigation and evidence collection. Through a series of efforts such as investigating witnesses, analyzing the scene, and deciphering clues, the criminal was successfully locked, and finally, with the support of strong evidence and facts, the criminal Li finally got the punishment he deserved, the truth was no longer covered up, and the victim and his family finally got the opportunity to seek justice.

This case attracted widespread attention and research at the time, and three years later, as a classic case, it became one of the thrilling cases exhibited in Beijing on the 10th anniversary of the National Day.
