Ross Vladimir Putin said that he would rather Joe Biden serve than Donald Trump until the United States in November of this year.

Mr. Biden is the more experienced and the more admissible person, he said in a remark that is sure to attract attention.

Before Trump's first campaign in 2016, Putin praised him as "outstanding and talented."

Biden has been a fierce critic of Putin for years, calling him a "killer" before invading Ukraine.

The Russian also spoke about his recent interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, saying he found it disappointing because the question was not sharp enough.

In an interview with Russian television on Wednesday, Putin said that Biden's leadership would be better for Russia because he was a "more experienced person, he was a good one, he was a politician of the old camp."

He dismissed questions about Biden's age and mental health, and said they last saw each other in 2021 and that he hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Even then (three years ago), people were saying he was incompetent, but I didn't see anything like that," he said.

Yes, he's been looking at his files, but to be honest, I've been doing the same thing. So nothing special.

Putin clarified that Russia will work with anyone who "gains the trust of the American public" and wins the ** position.

For Biden, however, it wasn't all enthusiastic feedback: Putin described the U.S.'s condemnation of the war in Ukraine as "extremely harmful and wrong."

On the eve of the 2016 United States, Trump said that he and Putin would "get along very well."

Trump has recently said he will "encourage" Russia to attack any NATO member that fails to meet the U.S.-led alliance's target of a 2% financial contribution to its GDP, which has drawn outrage.

In response, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asked Trump not to "undermine" NATO's collective security guarantees.
