The primary, secondary and tertiary production of agriculture refers to the three levels or stages divided according to the industry, which are:
Primary Industry (Primary Industry):
It mainly refers to traditional agricultural production activities, including crop farming (such as food crops, cash crop cultivation), forestry, animal husbandry, fishery and sideline industries, and other sectors that directly obtain agricultural products from nature.
Secondary Industry (Secondary Industry):
The processing and manufacturing links that are further extended on the basis of agriculture, specifically in the agricultural field, refer to the processing of primary agricultural products, such as grain processing, food manufacturing, feed production, canned fruits and vegetables and beverage production, meat and dairy products processing and other rural industrial activities.
Tertiary Industry (Tertiary Industry):
Agriculture-related service industries and value-added links, covering a wide range of areas, including but not limited to storage, transportation, sales and market development of agricultural products; agricultural technology extension and consulting services; rural tourism, farmhouse entertainment and other leisure agriculture; agricultural financial and insurance services; and a variety of service industries such as cultural creativity, health care for the elderly, education and training based on agricultural resources.
These three industries are interrelated and mutually supportive in the modern agricultural system, and through the integration and expansion of the industrial chain, they will promote the optimization and upgrading of the agricultural industrial structure and improve the overall economic and social benefits of agriculture.
