The first time I took a plane, I was in the airport with a black eye, and my situation was frequent

It is the Spring Festival season, turn on the TV news, which mentions that this year's Spring Festival rain and snow are frequent, which may have a certain impact on people's Spring Festival travel.

In the circle of friends, anyone who drives home for the New Year and does not encounter traffic jams, there is almost no one to find. Moreover, a traffic jam is several hours.

Rain and snow also have a certain impact on people who travel by plane.

From this, I remembered my first experience of flying at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Write it out, so that those in need can avoid pitfalls.

Wrong terminal

In July 2023, I only got on a plane for the first time in my thirties, and it felt strange and new.

My brother bought the ticket, and he sent me a screenshot of the ticket, reminding me that C, D, E, F can be checked-in.

Go to get the boarding pass first, go to the security check after taking it, see how many boarding gates there are after the security check, look at the signs, and wait at the boarding gate.

If you don't know, just ask the staff.

This is what he told me, the process of flying.

The thought of flying on the horizon makes me a little excited. But the excitement lasted until I entered the terminal, and then I vanished and disappeared.

Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has three terminals, and my husband took me to the airport and circled around the signs of the three terminals three times before driving the car into the T2 terminal under my command.

At first, I didn't knowYesWhere to goterminalsBy planeLater, it was not foundof the terminalThe entrance is in**.

I thought that taking a plane was the same as a train and a high-speed train, as long as you entered the entrance of the station, you were fine. WhichsonYou know, my first step was wrong.

After entering the T2 terminal and passing through the security check, I found the check-in counter that my brother said and was ready to change my ticket.

When I was in line, I looked at the people in front of me, all carrying suitcases. The staff asked them if they wanted to check in their luggage. Then, put the suitcase on it, carry a bag and go.

I just had a backpack and no suitcase, and my instincts were wrong, but I couldn't say anything was wrong. When it was my turn, I showed the screenshot of the ticket to the staff, and they said that China Southern Airlines was taking a plane at Terminal T1.

I asked the staff wearing **, how to get to the T1 terminal?

She said that by taking the subway, it was just one stop.

It's easy to take the subway, just go to the place with the subway sign.

Can't find the subway entrance

Out of the T2 terminal, I walked to the left, walked about 1000 meters, and it didn't feel right. At a glance, it was all airport buildings, and I didn't see any subway signs, so I went back to the original point.

Maybe I'm going in the wrong direction, I told myself. I went to the right again, walked for a while, and the result was still the same.

Something is wrong, something is wrong, I asked the aunt who cleaned the road, where to take the subway?

She pointed to the entrance and said, "Go inside."

I entered the T2 terminal again and asked the security staff, where is the subway?

The staff pointed behind him, and from there he took the elevator down and it was fine.

I suddenly couldn't laugh or cry, this elevator ** just passed by here, and I didn't expect to go down from here.

This is the terminal, and in my opinion, the entrance to the subway should be outside, and the two are not combined at all.

Another scene came to mind, when I asked the staff where to take the subway, the staff told me where to go, and the hand pointed forward.

It just so happened that the subway elevator and the entrance were face-to-face, so I mistakenly thought I was going to sit outside, so I walked out.

The first time, the road conditions were unfamiliar, and understandably, I comforted myself so much.

When I took the elevator down, I was a little happy to see the subway sign, as if I had seen a loved one I hadn't seen for a long time.

When I arrived at the subway gate, I bought a ticket to enter the station. I looked for it several times on the route map, but I didn't see this stop in Terminal 1, let alone buy a ticket.

If you can't buy a ticket, you can't get into the station, you won't be able to catch the plane, and what you have to do will be delayed.

After thinking about it, I went to ask the staff next to me, and she said that you don't need to buy a ticket to go to the T1 terminal, just take the free passage over there.

At that moment, I really had the urge to go berserk, I didn't know!

The security checkpoint could not be found

After a lot of tossing, I finally arrived at Terminal 1.

After passing the security check and getting my ticket, I found a chair nearby and sat down to rest. It just so happened that the chair was located near the door, not far in front, and the security staff were checking and packing suitcases.

Through the glass door, I saw buses going back and forth outside.

I thought that these buses were to take passengers to the airport for a flight. Sitting in the chair, I was very calm.

The first time I entered the airport, I was full of freshness to everything inside, look here, look there. I thought in my heart that it was almost a little bit, so I would go out and take the bus, which was really convenient.

In the open space on the left-hand side, the airport staff is holding a camera, and a flight attendant with a straight figure and wearing ** is facing the camera, saying something with a smile.

I guess they're doing a corporate video.

It was the first time to experience such a scene, and curiosity was inevitable.

Two hours before the plane took off, my brother said he had arrived, told me to go to security, and then to the gate and wait to get on the plane.

I put my backpack on my back and went straight to the bus at the door. Ask the staff, is this a bus to the airport?

The staff said, no, this is going to Terminal T2 (I'm in Terminal 1).

I then asked, take a plane to ** sit?

The staff said, go and sit inside.

I went back and ran to ask the staff, where is the security checkpoint for the plane?

The staff said, under the big screen.

I looked around like a scanner, and saw the big screen hanging high up. Walking towards it, I saw a very large few words in a few steps, domestic departure, security channel.

Oh my God, this place passed by when I was on the toilet.

I may have seen this place, but I didn't know that it was the way to fly, so I automatically ignored it.

I'm really stupid to myself.

After the security check, we met smoothly through the gate information given by my brother.

Self-reflection

I have two thoughts to share about the journey from terminal to gate.

First, it is the first time to take a plane, it is best to find someone who has been on a plane and travel with you, which will save you a lot of unnecessary tossing.

Or do a guide online to see which airline you are buying, and check in and board at T1 or T2 (only for Guangzhou Baiyun Airport).

I bought a ticket for China Southern Airlines and handled it at Terminal 1.

This is also done to avoid putting yourself in a very passive position, speechless and embarrassed.

You can't help but doubt yourself, such a simple thing, you don't know?

I arrived at the airport very early, and I arrived at the airport at half past nine after half past one in the afternoon, even if the situation was frequent, it would not affect my boarding of the plane.

If you pinch it, it will be miserable.

Second, it corrected a misunderstanding in my cognition. What I know, what I am familiar with, and what others know and are familiar with.

For example, if I take the subway to Terminal 1, the subway elevator is next to me, but I just don't know.

Domestic departure, security channel, those bright big characters are hanging there, I don't know, no one told me.

The staff was very polite, not only did they say it, but they also pointed me in the direction with their hands, but I couldn't figure it out like a ghost.

Walking into the huge airport, I couldn't tell the difference between east and west.

For the first time, I felt the confusion and helplessness of rural people going to the city, knowing what they wanted to do, but they just didn't know where to go.

This feeling is actually quite frustrating.

For the staff, they work here every day, and they couldn't be more familiar with this place. Close your eyes and know how many steps there are on the stairs.

They will have the illusion that when they point, the person who asks will understand. But I'm a dull person, I can't even figure out whether I'm alive or dead.

This experience also gave me an opportunity to reflect on myself, not being able to take things I am familiar with for granted, and everyone has the same cognition and thoughts as myself.

What I thought was simple may be the opposite to others.

I said to myself that in the future, I should be more patient, more understanding and tolerant of other people's inquiries and questions.
