Li Er, the word Boyang, also known as Lao Dan, that is, the "Lao Tzu" in the mouth of later generations, is a native of Luyi, Zhoukou, Henan. Legend has it that since he was a child, he studied under a gentleman with the surname Shang, and soon far exceeded the level of the gentleman.

Under the recommendation of Mr. Shang, 13-year-old Li Dan went to Shangdu, thousands of miles away, to study with the doctor of Taixue of Zhou State, astronomy, geography, human ethics, everything learned, "poems", "books", "Yi", "calendar", "rites", "music" everywhere, cultural relics, regulations, history books are all learned, after three years of great progress.

In the commercial capital for more than 30 years, Li Dan went home several times, but unfortunately his mother was nostalgic for his hometown and did not want to travel far, so he could only keep going back and forth until his mother passed away.

From the death of his mother, Li Dan realized the natural law of coming from nothing and from being to nothing; From the rise and fall of the Zhou Dynasty, he saw the changes in the fortunes of the country, and was tired of the earthly career and prosperity. He decided to go out of Hanguguan, go to the Western Regions, and live a secluded life.

It is said that the name of Hangu Guan Shouguan is Guan Yin, who is good at astronomy and profound Taoism. One night, he watched the starry sky, and suddenly saw the purple clouds gathering in the east, 30,000 miles long, shaped like a flying dragon, rolling from east to west, and it was expected that there would be a saint passing here.

Sure enough, when the sun was setting on July 12, Guan Yin suddenly saw an old man riding a green ox in the distance on the city wall. The old man's hair was as white as snow, and his appearance was refined.

Guan Yin Yangtian sighed: "I am fortunate to be born. Meet the saints! He took three steps and made two steps, ran forward, knelt in front of the green ox to meet Lao Tzu, and led Lao Tzu to his official residence, invited him to sit down, burned incense and worshipped, and pleaded: "Sir is the great sage of today!" Knowing that you will live in seclusion, I hope that you will leave a calligraphy treasure before you go into seclusion, so that your thoughts can be passed on to future generations and benefit future generations. ”

Li Dan believed that words could not express his thoughts and comprehension of the "Dao", and he was reluctant to write books and biographies at first. Guan Yin pleaded in every way, but Li Dan was moved by his sincerity and finally agreed to write a book and preach.

Lao Tzu said: "The sage teaches without words", he believes that the description of language is inaccurate and cannot express the original meaning of thought, which is the fundamental reason why he is reluctant to write a book and pass it on.

After that, Li Dan took the rise and fall of the dynasty, the success or failure of the people, and the safety and misfortune of the people as a reference, traced back to its source, and wrote two articles, a total of 5,000 words. The article begins with "The Tao is the Tao, not the Constant Dao; The name can be named, not the constant name", so it is called the "Tao Jing". The other begins with "To be virtuous is to be virtuous; Under virtue is not to lose virtue, it is to have no virtue", so people call it "Tao Te Ching", collectively known as "Tao Te Ching".

The Tao Sutra talks about the laws of the operation of all things in the universe; The next part of the "Book of Virtues" talks about how to cultivate virtue in order to improve oneself and govern the country, so as to conform to the laws of heaven and earth. Since then, the Tao Te Ching has been widely circulated.

Lao Tzu rode a green ox out of Guguan and left the "Tao Te Ching" to the people; Teacher Xue Mo interprets Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching", and Xue Han has insight into "Lao Tzu's Thoughts".

This "Lao Tzu's Heart" does write Lao Tzu's pondering and Taoism of the world. He is not simply commenting on the Tao Te Ching, but talking about the application of traditional wisdom, solving the problems of the soul, and improving the quality of life.

This is the uniqueness of Mr. Xue Mo's interpretation of Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching", and there is another interpretation. Reading "Lao Tzu's Heart", reading and reading, there is a sense of sobriety that is enlightened and suddenly realized.

Whether there is transformation or not, the reincarnation of cause and effect, many things in fate are unknown. All talk about cause and coincidence, and Teacher Xue Mo regards the interpretation of Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching" as fate, and it is an existence established in nothingness.

Lao Tzu's Thoughts", Mr. Xue Mo interpreted it from the level of cultivation and wonderful use, not to mention philosophical teaching, nor to pick up people's wisdom, he only focused on his own understanding of traditional Chinese culture, "for the sake of the saints to continue learning".

Xue Mo said: "The greatest significance of studying culture lies in applying what you have learned. If you can't apply what you've learned, culture is of limited significance. "Teacher Xue Mo said so and did so.

For the interpretation of Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching", Teacher Xue Mo used 21 chapters. In each chapter, he is feeling with his heart and expressing it meticulously, so that readers can apply what they have learned.

1. He interprets differently from others, and improves his personal cultivation.

If you are not virtuous, you will not fight the people; Inexpensive and rare goods, so that the people will not be thieves; If you don't see what you want, the people's hearts will not be disturbed.

Others explain it this way: If you don't advocate talented people, the common people will not have disputes, if you don't respect rare things, the common people won't steal or show off, and if you sell things that arouse your desires, the people's hearts won't be chaotic.

Teacher Xue Mo used his own personal experience to interpret the advanced evaluation, and told the story of "Two Peach Killing Three Soldiers", the root cause of the chaos of the Warring States Period, and the modern live broadcast.

He believes that "the instability of modern society is because there are too many **, too much desire". He hoped that people would "have faith" because "as long as they have faith, they can compete with their own desires and return to tranquility."

If you don't see what you want, the people's hearts will not be disturbed. "This is not the way of governing the country, it is the practice of personal cultivation. The "people" here are themselves, and the "king" is the outside world.

When can I become a "gentleman"? When you are not controlled by the outside world, you can deal with the outside world and get peace. At this time, one's own destiny is in charge of oneself, and oneself becomes what one wants to become, which is what "king" looks like in the world.

This is one of the many interpretations that there are so many monastic stories in this book. This is completely in line with Mr. Xue Mo's style. In addition, in the book "Lao Tzu's Heart", it also vaguely reveals the hometown complex of Teacher Xue Mo and the legend and tone of Liangzhou in the western desert.

2. The legends and tones of Liangzhou in the western desert.

The eight immortals crossed the sea, each showing their magical powers. In Xue Mo's pen, Lu Dongbin, that is, Lu Zu, appears from time to time. At present, the author has not found any clues, but only lamented the high frequency of his appearance.

Teacher Xue Mo likes to tell stories about the western region, and has integrated into Taoism and Buddhism. Taoism and Buddhism are integrated with each other, and they also reflect the breadth of traditional Chinese culture.

In this regard, as a reader, I don't really understand the causality here. That's all for tonight! Then I have a feeling, and then I will come!
