On January 31, 2024, the "New Chapter of Brush and Ink - Academic Invitational Exhibition of Chinese Painting", co-sponsored by the National Museum of China, the Chinese Artists Association, and the Silk Road Planning and Research Center, was launched at the National Museum of China. The exhibition is located in the South 1 and South 2 exhibition halls of the National Museum of China.

The "New Chapter of Brush and Ink - Academic Invitational Exhibition of Chinese Painting" shows the fireworks of a better life, interprets the soul and root of Chinese civilization, and carries forward the spirit of a new era through Chinese painting, a vivid carrier of Chinese traditional culture.

Based on the construction of the new era of traditional Chinese painting development system, academic system and discourse system, this exhibition carefully selects more than 100 masterpieces of landscapes, figures, flowers and birds by 15 well-known artists who are representative of the development of contemporary Chinese painting art, so that the audience can deeply perceive the artistic pursuit, value orientation and national aesthetic characteristics of contemporary literary and art workers.
