On August 15, 1945, Japan was defeated and surrendered, and the Tokyo Trial between 1946 and 1948 ruled that Japan must bear full responsibility for the entire war of aggression against China.
According to later relevant information, the reason why Unit 731 and other bacteriological units were not tried was because the head of Unit 731, Matsui Ishone, used the data of live experiments in northeast China to reach a secret deal with the United States, which led the trial, and thus obtained judicial immunity.
According to a documentary released by NHK TV, these former demons of Unit 731 have become professors and scholars at Japanese institutions of higher learning such as the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and Keio University, as well as famous medical experts in Japan. Moreover, according to relevant information, during the Japanese invasion of China, the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Keio University and other universities reached a secret agreement with the Japanese Ministry of War to send researchers to Unit 731 and other bacteriological units. And not only did these researchers not get the trial they deserved, but they also returned to Japan after the war to continue their research, and they did what they had to do, but they never mentioned what they had done in Unit 731 and other bacteriological units.
In 1951, the Japanese Medical Association's application to the World Association of Medical Doctors included this sentence:On behalf of all Japanese physicians, this association strongly condemns and denounces the well-known atrocities committed by some of our doctors against the people of hostile countries during the war. This is the only official statement made by the Japanese government on the involvement of these doctors and scholars in the crimes of Unit 731 and other bacteriological units, and there is only condemnation and condemnation, not even a word of apology, let alone remorse.
The only members of Unit 731 have been tried by only 12 people, and the reason for the trial is not to engage in human live experiments, but because of the ** Soviet civilians in China, so they were tried by Soviet courts.
In December 1949, the Soviet Union tried the 12 high-ranking members of Unit 731 in Khabarovsk, and these demons confessed to the crimes of conducting human experiments and bacteriological warfare in the northeast of our country, but these did not become the crimes for which they were tried, and the final conviction was only because they ** Soviet civilians and tortured prisoners of war, so these 12 demons were considered by the Soviet Union to be less serious crimes, and were only sentenced to different levels of imprisonment from 2 to 25 years.
The reason for the sentence of imprisonment is that the death penalty was abolished in the Soviet Union during this period. But the most intriguing thing is that the Soviet Union reinstated the death penalty the day after the sentence was pronounced, as if the abolition of the death penalty was tailor-made for this group of demons. The sentencing date for this group of demons was December 30, 1949, and the day the death penalty was reinstated in the Soviet Union was indeed January 1, 1950.
What is even more ironic is that after Japan and the Soviet Union resumed diplomatic relations in 1956, the Soviet Union pardoned all 12 demons with a letter of pardon, and even if they were full, these 12 demons did not serve more than 7 years in prison. Maybe it's because the academic value and emotional value of this group of demons are really too high for the United States and the Soviet Union! High enough for the United States and the Soviet Union to compete with them for this deal!
Please keep in mind that none of the demons of Unit 731 and other bacteriological units, from the time they set foot on Chinese soil to the time they finally withdrew, received any punishment for the heinous crimes committed in China, nor did they have any official apology or repentance about Japan. Of course, I only represent me personally, I don't need their apologies and confessions, even if they apologize and repent, I don't accept them, I have to remember this hatred, and I have to tell my sons and grandsons to remember that the blood debt must be paid with blood!
