In 1966, the Ningxia Shitanjing Mining Bureau in the early days of its establishment had five bureau leaders (including two chief and deputy secretaries, and three chief and deputy directors), of which two were caused by the ** during the Cultural Revolution.

Tian Wenjin. Comrade Tian Wenjin, then Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bureau, a native of Laixi, Shandong, was born in 1917, joined the Communist Party of China in September 1938, and began working in October of the same year. In March 1961, he was transferred from the post of deputy director (deputy department level) of the Shandong Provincial Industrial Transportation Exhibition Hall to support the first party secretary of the Shitanjing Mine in order to support the Great Northwest.

Comrade Tian Wenjin was framed and mentally and physically destroyed during the revolution. At the Shitanjing Cadre School (Goukou Farm), he was often criticized and beaten by guards late at night, and he had to ask for leave to urinate and urinate, and he had lost his personal freedom; During the day, he was ordered to be the deputy secretary of the party committee, who was physically strongerZhang XishuComrade, a pair of baskets carrying soil to repair canals, the baskets are full of soil, even young men can hardly bear it, not to mention that Tian was over 50 years old at the time, and he also suffered from high blood pressure, due to physical exhaustion and could not eat, a good person was tortured alive!

After being admitted to the Shitanjing Mining District Hospital, he did not receive timely and effective treatment, causing his blood pressure to rise to 240, causing cerebral hemorrhage and bleeding from his mouth, nose and ears, and he died on April 16, 1969, at the age of 52.

Looking at the fatal process of Comrade Tian Wenjin, it was very cruel, (as far as the author knows, and confirmed by his relatives, Tian had no other diseases except for high blood pressure before his death, and it was not the worsening of many diseases as stated in the mining area chronicles).

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, Comrade Tian Wenjin successively served as the deputy captain of the Minxian District Team; Commander of the Self-Defense Regiment of the Fifth District of Ye County; Secretary of the Party Training Class Branch of the Party Committee of Jiaodong District; Leader of the Lai Xi Democracy Movement Task Force; Secretary and director of the Laixi County Party Committee and the South China Sea Committee; Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiaodong District, Chief of the Planning and Administration Section of the Secretariat; Member of the Qingdao North District Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of Propaganda and other positions. He was born and died during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, and made important contributions to the liberation of the Chinese people.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he successively served as the vice chairman of the Qingdao Light Industry Trade Union and a member of the party group; Deputy Director of the Sales Department of East China Coal Management Bureau; Director of Coal Preparation Division, Office Director and Member of the Party Leadership Group of Shandong Coal Management Bureau; Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Industrial Transportation Exhibition Hall.

In 1961, when Comrade Tian Wenjin was the secretary of the Party Committee of the Shitanjing Mining Bureau, he realized that the environment in the mining area was harsh, and Liang Zhen, the director of the bureau at that time, once described it: The wind in the Shitanjing is not big, once a year (that is, it blows to the end in a year), and the mountain is not big, and one (that is, the whole is a mountain).

The miners live a hard life, live in a semi-underground kiln, drink the underground circulating water transported by Da Peigou, and it is very difficult for underground workers to go up the well and bathe water. He once reported the hardships of the workers in the mining area to the superiors, and asked to increase the welfare of the employees, although this matter was unsuccessful, but it reflected his considerate care for the lives of the employees! ** also criticized this as a crime, insulting him for fear of hardship and difficulty!

Comrade Tian Wenjin has a good ideological cultivation, a democratic style of work, and a relatively stable grasp of policies in his work. What I remember vividly is that in 1963, when the wages of employees were raised, the state stipulated that the promotion level was 40, that is, only 40 people for 100 people could be promoted. At that time, some major leaders advocated that many low-paid cadres should be promoted by two levels in a row.

However, Tian believes that having a person who has been promoted to two levels means that one person will be promoted less than one person, and in the case of not raising wages for many years, in order to mobilize more people's enthusiasm for work, it is necessary to minimize the number of people who have been promoted to two levels. Under the guidance of Tian's ideology, only one of the overall cadres was promoted to two levels of salary, and Comrade Zhang Shijie, who was then deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Third Mine, was promoted from administrative level 21 to administrative level 19, and his salary was raised from 70 yuan to 88$5.

During his tenure of office, Comrade Tian Wenjin often went down the mine with the miners, gave them spiritual encouragement and material help during exchanges, and once gave his own family food, such as rice, noodles, eggs, and pickles, to the families of the miners who were in difficulty. They also provide warm clothes and hot food to strangers who come to their homes for help when they have difficulties in life.

Comrade Tian Wenjin, as the secretary of the party committee, was very concerned about underground safety production, especially when the leaders of the relevant bureaus encountered accidents in the underground, probably in the autumn of 1962, when Zhang Yujiao, then deputy director, and deputy chief engineerLee Kai YinWhen the three mines opened a small well to inspect the safety production of the mine, unfortunately encountered a roof accident, almost buried in the mine, Tian Wenxun ran from the bureau to the wellhead to organize an ambulance, because the staff hospital ambulance arrived a step late, remember that Tian severely criticized the driver, and traced the reason for his late arrival.

Zhang Yuyi. Comrade Zhang Yuyi, Hui nationality, born in 1921, from Cangxian County, Hebei Province, started working in December 1948, joined the Communist Party of China in February 1949, and has a college degree.

Comrade Zhang Yuyi was admitted to Tianjin Normal School in 1936; In 1939, he studied at the Kailuan Public Works Training School, and after graduating in 1941, he served as a public engineer, coal engineer, engineer, and deputy chief engineer in the Kailuan Zhaogezhuang Mine.

During his work in Zhaogezhuang Mine, Comrade Zhang Yujiao conscientiously summed up the practical experience of underground work, and wrote the book "The Law and Calculation Method of Diagonal Cutting and Stratified Coal Mining in Steeply Inclined and Thick Coal Seams", which was published and distributed by the Coal Industry Press.

In December 1958, he was transferred from the post of deputy chief engineer of Zhaogezhuang Mine in Kailuan, Hebei Province to the deputy chief engineer of Ningxia Shitanjing Coal Mine Construction Company; In January 1960, he was appointed as the deputy engineer of Shitanjing Mining Bureau; In April of the same year, he was appointed deputy director and deputy chief engineer of Shitanjing Mining Bureau.

Comrade Zhang Yuyi's cultural da was tragically suffered in the revolution. From the very beginning, they were attacked, paraded through the streets in top hats, were criticized, suspended for inspection, and supervised labor. I used to be criticized at night, and at six o'clock the next morning, I had to go to the No. 2 Mine to attend a pre-shift meeting, and during the day, I had to go down the mine to inspect safety production; He also worked with Zhang Xishu, deputy secretary of the party committee, in the civil construction team to engage in heavy physical labor such as sieving white ash. As a high-level intellectual (technical level 5), Comrade Zhang Yujiao often suffered from fever due to mental and physical torture.

In September 1967, he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer by the mining hospital, and he went to Beijing alone for medical treatment, but due to the turmoil of the Cultural Revolution, he did not receive good medical treatment, and died in Beijing on March 18, 1968, at the age of 47.

Comrade Zhang Yujiao attaches great importance to the training and use of engineering and technical personnel, and through his leadership and strict organization and evaluation, the Mining Bureau promoted the first batch of 28 engineers in 1965, and these engineers played a key role in the production and construction of the mining area and made important contributions.

During the tenure of Comrade Zhang Yuyi, rarely sit in the office, most of the time go deep into the underground to inspect and guide the work, probably in the autumn of 1962, the three mines on behalf of the small well had a ** accident, its news immediately and the deputy chief engineer Li Qixian rushed to the scene to inspect, unfortunately, they also suffered a roadway roof accident, the old workers who led the road were killed on the spot, almost buried them underground, Li Qixian, deputy chief engineer one foot was pressed under the stone, took off the rubber boots to escape, and also stayed in the hospital for a few days.

Comrade Zhang Yujiao worked conscientiously and meticulously. It was probably in 1963, I remember a bureau meeting to study the production plan indicators, the planning section did not mimeograph the information in advance, and was severely criticized by it, at that time, under the auspices of Director Liang Zhen, Wang Jingping, the chief of the planning section, returned to the section to mimeograph the information, and then continued to hold the meeting, because Liu Yi, the chief of the education section at that time, was hospitalized, I attended the meeting and witnessed the scene at that time.

Comrade Zhang Yuyi is approachable and very sympathetic to his subordinates, probably in 1964, first, the three-year-old daughter of Zeng Xinshun and Yang Jifeng of the bureau went missing one afternoon, and Zhang personally inquired about the organization to find it; The second is that the daughter of Zhang Yinsheng and Li Dongmei was crushed by a mine truck in the second mine and lost four fingers, Zhang ran to the hospital when he heard the news, and asked the doctor to save the child's life (Zeng Xinshun has a detailed record in the early life of the mine in the early days of the mine), as the leader in charge of production and technology in the mining area, it is indeed commendable to be so sympathetic to the suffering of his subordinates!
