Scholar China is facing four major challenges, and the two sides of the strait will inevitably be reunified
On July 5, the Observer Network published an article by Wang Wen (executive dean of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Chinese University) entitled "A new chapter in history, China will win four key battles in the future."
Wang Wen pointed out that the new chapter of history has just begun, and in the next 10-20 years, China will face four major challenges. However, this will not stop China from continuing the three miracles and opening a new chapter in history.
The first challenge facing China is to win the international game, the most important of which is to deal with the "fierce competition" unilaterally provoked by the United States.
This competition has been underway since the full-blown outbreak of the pandemic in the West, which has proven that the decline of manufacturing can be a huge blow to the economy, and this effect is already being felt in Western economies.
In order to maintain global hegemony, Western countries led by the United States have carried out comprehensive and multi-level suppression in the fields of economy and trade, finance, military science and technology, and geopolitics.
In the past year, the United States has tried to unite Europe to erect obstacles in the high-tech field and strengthen blockade and containment. Trying to create a "encirclement" on the periphery by forming a so-called "security" alliance with Britain and Australia; Trying to create a "mini-NATO" in the Asia-Pacific region and expand US influence and military power based on the "Quadrilateral Security Dialogue" mechanism; It is also trying to build an "Indo-Pacific cotery" in the economic and military spheres and carry out a complete blockade against China.
China is facing an uphill battle to ensure high-quality economic development. Behind the label of a major manufacturing country, there are problems such as low added value in the middle and lower reaches of China's industrial chain.
At the same time, external environments such as the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict have also put pressure on China's economy. Although China's economy has achieved positive growth during the pandemic, it has not been easy to maintain high growth.
In order to achieve sustainable economic development, China needs to be fully prepared, including advanced infrastructure construction and all-round opening-up policies. From a strategic point of view, the overall transformation of the industrial structure and the entry into the high-tech and high-value-added industrial chain will bring dividends to the economy.
Economists generally expect China's economy to grow at 4 to 5 percent over the next 10 to 15 years, as long as it does soWith a growth rate of 7%, China's total economic output will double after 2023.
In the third tough battle, China has made remarkable achievements in high-level social governance, which is reflected in the universal coverage of modern infrastructure, the supporting application of digital facilities, and the continuous breakthrough and promotion of civil high-tech.
At the same time, outstanding achievements have been made in poverty alleviation and urban governance. Of course, we need to maintain those advantages and extend the lead even further. In the future, the integration of advanced technology and basic people's livelihood will be deepened.
In the fourth tough battle, our goal is to realize the peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait. Recently, some forces on the island have colluded with foreign forces to constantly advocate "armed reunification" and create tension.
However, cross-strait peace and reunification has always been our top priority. You must know that the bilateral ** between the mainland and Taiwan accounts for about 45% of Taiwan's GDP, which shows that the people on both sides of the strait not only have the same roots, but also the economic prosperity of the Taiwan region is mainly dependent on the mainland.
Therefore, the peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait is undoubtedly the best choice.
China has always insisted on safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and despite the obstruction of external interference forces and "** elements", China has never given up the option of "military reunification".
We are going through four tough battles, one of which is for the Taiwan issue and the other for the Western forces, led by the United States. The remaining two are based on self-improvement as a strategic goal.
The victory of these tough battles means that the resistance to our upward development is gradually decreasing. As long as we can win these four tough battles, China will surely create a new history on the global stage.
At the same time, in the process of creating a new history, China will also create three miracles. The first is to continue the miracle of China's transcendence, which has a complete industrial chain, from low-end raw materials and semi-finished products to cutting-edge products.
As early as 2011, China's industrial production surpassed that of the United States to become the world's largest. By 2013, China's total cargo** also surpassed that of the United States, becoming the world's first.
In 2021, China's total outbound investment also surpassed that of the United States, jumping to the world's first. These are the results that China has achieved by improving the industrial chain.
1.The miracle continues, and by 2030, China is expected to surpass the total size of the U.S. economy. 2.China's rise is based on peace, and China has not started or participated in a single war in the past 40 years.
3.China's path is remarkable, and after more than 40 years of development, it has proven it. On the other hand, the rise of the Western powers has all been achieved through war.
4.China has become the most indispensable part of the global economy, and its contribution to global economic growth has remained stable at about 30% in recent years. 5.China's rise process is completely different from that of the West, and China has brought "dividends" to other countries in the process of realizing its own rise.
Despite China's peaceful rise, Western countries, led by the United States, remain skeptical. They have imposed the bandit mentality of the West on China, hyped up the "China threat theory", and tried to create anxiety around the world.
They have even set up obstacles and created hot spots in China's periphery in an attempt to maintain their hegemony through friction and unilateral provocation of conflict. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a clear warning.
The series of containment and suppression measures by the United States against China have reached a very despicable and limitless level. Biden has called this so-called "competition" "fierce competition", but in fact it is a dangerous "competition".
What we can see, however, is that the United States has fewer and fewer means at its disposal, which indicates that China's development will not stop because of the provocations of individual countries.
The core idea: Despite the containment and suppression of Western countries, China's peaceful rise will not change because of the stumbling blocks of individual countries.
