The "2019 Future Forum Shenzhen Technology Summit" (hereinafter referred to as the summit) was held in Shenzhen, and Wang Qiang, co-founder of Zhen **, co-founder of New Oriental, and donor of the Future Science Prize - Mathematics and Computer Science Prize, participated in the summit dialogue session to discuss the innovation momentum boosted by capital.

Wang Qiang said that from the perspective of investment, he has paid attention to a change in recent years: in the past, commerciality was from the perspective of science to technology, to business, and then to capital, but in recent years, there has been a phenomenon of "reversal" on a global scale. That is, from commercial usefulness backwards, the pursuit of usable technology, and finally to basic science and principles.

Wang Qiang mentioned that the birth of the Internet in the United States in the 60s actually started from usefulness. Including early AI design, it was all about solving specific problems. What Zhen has learned in recent years is that it will look for technical solutions that are very straightforward in terms of solving business usefulness. This solution may not yet have a commercial prototype, but it is very close to being formed.

Regarding scientist entrepreneurship, Wang Qiang also shared his own experience. In his view, there are two types of scientists, one is "a scientist" and should not start a business, and the other is very urgent to transform and realize the results. For the latter, Wang Qiang believes that it is necessary to adjust the mentality, and when promoting and transforming scientific research results into society, we should focus on doing the "hard core" of science, and do not dilute all our energy into other aspects of work such as operating companies.
