The eldest son of Wang Jinxi is the vice president of the second-level company

On October 8, 1923, Wang Jinxi was born in a poor family in Wangjiatun, Jinbao, Yumen City, Gansu Province. Because of his poor family, Wang Jinxi began to ask for food at the age of 6, herd cattle at the age of 10, and carry coal at the age of 12.

In 1937, Wang Jinxi met a fellow who worked in the oil field, and this fellow introduced him to the Yumen oil field. Although the Yumen Oilfield was the only medium-sized oil field that the Kuomintang could control at that time, the Kuomintang treated the oil miners very poorly, and Wang Jinxi had been doing odd jobs.

In 1949, the People's Liberation Army liberated the Yumen oil mine, and the treatment of oil miners was greatly improved.

He studied hard and finally got admitted as a driller in the second exam. This is the "Iron Man" Wang Jinxi, whose story has inspired countless people.

Wang Jinxi, an outstanding representative of China's petroleum industry, has become a benchmark model worker in Yumen Oil Mine since 1956. He proposed "thousands of months, tens of thousands of years, drill through Qilian Mountain, and set a benchmark on the closure of Yumen!" ”

In order to achieve this goal, he directly put the futon on the well and worked day and night. At 12 o'clock on September 30, 1957, the drilling team led by him accumulated 5009 feet in the whole month47 meters, a rare record in the world.

After the news was released through Xinhua News Agency, Wang Jinxi was awarded the title of "Drilling Leader", and his team was awarded the title of "Steel Drilling Team". In 1959, Wang Jinxi participated in the National Heroes Meeting and attended the 10th anniversary of the National Day.

As the most outstanding drilling model worker in the oil industry, he was sent to the Daqing Oilfield. In March 1960, Wang Jinxi and the drilling team came to Daqing from Yumen.

They were arranged to eat and live at Mrs. Zhao's house in Majiayao, but Mrs. Zhao did not see Wang Jinxi for half a month. When she asked the workers who got off work, she learned that this was Captain Wang's work habit, and as soon as she got up from work, she ate and lived on the construction site, day and night.

Aunt Zhao sighed with emotion: "Your Captain Wang is really an iron man!" This sentiment quickly spread in the Daqing Oilfield.

From April 9 to 11, 1960, the Daqing Battle Headquarters held the first technical symposium, at which the Minister of Petroleum introduced the advanced deeds of Wang Jinxi working hard day and night, and called on all employees to learn from Wang Jinxi.

After that, the activity of "everyone learns iron man, everyone becomes iron man, and makes meritorious contributions to the battle" was carried out in an all-round way on the oil field, and the title of iron man was widely spread, and a resounding name was born on the land of China - "iron man" Wang Jinxi.

Since then, Wang Jinxi's name has been closely linked to the Daqing Oilfield and has become a legend in China's petroleum industry. However, on November 15, 1970, Wang Jinxi left us forever at the age of 47 due to ineffective treatment for stomach cancer.

His life was a life dedicated to the oil industry, and he was a banner for Chinese oil workers.

1.Wang Jinxi's son, Wang Yueping, is the eldest of his five children and was born in 1952. When he was 8 years old, he followed his mother to Daqing.

For Wang Yueping, the winter in Daqing was a difficult time, not only cold, but also short of food. His father, Wang Jinxi, devoted himself to his work, and Wang Yueping went to the field with his mother to dig up the leftover frozen radishes and frozen potatoes since he was a child.

2.Because the initial logistics could not meet the demand, Wang Yueping, his mother, younger siblings planted potatoes, radishes and soybeans in the open space in front of their house for the winter.

Wang Yueping later recalled in an interview that when they arrived in Daqing, the mud in the dry house had not yet completely dried. Dry fortification is a common Northeast earthen house, except for the doors, windows and purlins need to use a small amount of wood, the walls are all rammed with mud.

3.The conditions in the Daqing oilfield are very difficult. Wang Yueping said that although every effort has been made to send the elites of the national oil front to participate in the Daqing Petroleum Battle, due to the difficult conditions, one-tenth of the workers still choose to leave, preferring to go home to farm.

Even in this case, Wang Jinxi, as a well-known model worker in the country, has a salary of less than 100 yuan a month. However, he needs to use the 100 yuan to support his family of ten, and he also has to find a way to help some workers who are living in difficulty every month.

4.Wang Yueping still remembers that Zhang Qigang, a worker who died of a work-related injury, Wang Jinxi would send money to his mother every year, 200 yuan at a time, which was Wang Jinxi's salary for more than two months.

This shows that Wang Jinxi is not only an excellent worker, but also a selfless philanthropist, and his spirit is worthy of our learning and respect.

Wang Yueping, Wang Jinxi's eldest son, he practiced his father's spirit with practical actions, starting from his father's footsteps and entering the Daqing Oilfield to work. He did not think highly of himself because of his identity, but was down-to-earth and silently dedicated in his work.

His other children, who also work in the Daqing Oilfield, are now retired. His grandson inherited the spirit of the family and also entered the Daqing Oilfield to work, truly fulfilling the promise of "I dedicate oil to the motherland, and dedicate my youth to my children and grandchildren".

Their stories tell us that a person's identity does not determine his worth, what matters is whether he can truly live up to his ideals and commitments.
