Lucy is voiced by Kristen Wiig, who lightly commented on her son's preference for his mother: "Of course he loves you too, but he doesn't express it very well. The Gru family is forced to move to a safe house, but the Minions' amusing behavior clears the tension. The development of the film began in the mid-2010s and was not officially confirmed until 2022. It was originally scheduled to be directed by Mike White, but eventually Chris Reynaud took over. The creators of "The White Lotus" participated in the writing of the screen, and collaborated with Ken Dario to present the script. In addition to Karel and Wee, Miranda Cosgrove and Dana Gale also return to voice, and new additions include Sophia Vergara, Joey King, and Stephen Colbert. The all-new "Despicable Me 4" is scheduled to meet the audience on July 3.
