The total length of the ship is 11998 meters, beam 185 meters, design draft 72 meters, depth 97 meters, design speed 1330 knots, designed endurance of 8000 nautical miles, classified ABS. The ship adopts a two-stroke low-speed main engine, the design uses a gearbox to achieve the PTO PTI PTH function, and the whole ship is equipped with a 2450kW battery to achieve zero emission in the emission control area, and the navigation test results prove that the ship's speed performance and EEDI fuel consumption indicators are better than similar ships in the market.

The ship's power battery uses LF304 lithium iron phosphate battery certified by CCS and ABS, and the number of cycles can reach more than 4,000 times. The battery system realizes the charging and discharging function through the DC AC module of the charging and discharging all-in-one machine, and the DC side of the charging and discharging all-in-one machine is fully pre-charged for the main and standby channels, which can be precharged through the lithium battery output DC700V, and can also be precharged through the AC 450V on the AC busbar, and when the AC busbar loses power or the lithium battery SOC is insufficient, the charging and discharging function can still be realized through the charging and discharging all-in-one machine.

"Dingheng23" adopts the hybrid power control system provided by CSSC Power Research Institute to manage and control the energy of the whole ship's power and system. There are 4 working modes in PMS management mode: navigation entry and exit mode, unloading operation mode, berthing generator mode and berthing shore power mode, 4 working modes can be selected and entered by soft buttons on the touch screen, and the navigation mode is divided into four sub-modes: "PTO mode", "PTH mode", "PTI mode" and "host mode". In PTO and PTH modes, the ship can flexibly adjust the energy exchange between the battery pack and the main diesel generator set according to the needs, and use the lithium battery pack to charge and discharge the "peak shaving and valley filling" to achieve the best economic operation of the power system, so as to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction. Especially in PTH mode, ships can use pure electric propulsion within no less than 20 nautical miles of the controlled emission area to achieve "zero" emissions and effectively reduce environmental pollution.

In addition, in the case of the failure of the main engine, the ship can still maintain the ability to maneuver for a certain period of time by relying on battery power, which to a large extent solves the problem of major accidents caused by the loss of control of the ship caused by the failure of the main engine that has plagued the industry for a long time, and greatly improves the all-weather maneuverability and safety performance of the ship.
