Monta, a Danish company that develops software solutions for the EV charging industry, said on Tuesday that it had raised 80 million euros ($87 million) to increase R&D spending and expand its partner network.

The Series B round was led by software investment firm Energize Capital and investment manager GreenPoint Partners. The Copenhagen-based company has raised since its inception in 20201.300 million eurosof funds.

Monta runs applications and operations for EV charging system networks, with hardware manufacturers, charging network operators, businesses, and EV drivers using a single, integrated software solution.

The company is one of the few companies that is dealing with the complexities of running EV charging software and network applications that can face cost issues due to developing systems.

In 2023,Monta has added a number of new strategic partners, including Siemens, and said its annual recurring revenue had increased by 600%, but did not provide specific figures.

The company says electric car drivers can use Monta's software to go beyond EuropeMore than 600,000charging stations.
