After squeezing out China, the cost of British nuclear power plants is overrun, and the UK hopes that Chinese companies will continue to support!
Not long ago, the United Kingdom ordered Chinese telecom companies such as Huawei and ZTE to remove 5G networks from the 5G network within a set period of time or face heavy fines.
According to foreign media reports, many local telecom operators in the UK have not been able to withdraw the communication equipment of Chinese companies from the market on time because of the UK's high fines. This has also made many operators and users in the UK very unhappy.
For BT, disassembling Chinese equipment would result in high scrap and repair costs, delaying the adoption of 5G networks. For British netizens, quitting the game, especially in such a short period of time, with so many people quitting the game together, will inevitably result in poor reception or no signal.
Now it seems that the UK will not change its mind this time and will no longer provide 5 g products to Chinese companies. It is not surprising that Britain is actually ready to receive money from a Chinese company, since their nuclear power plants some time ago were out of budget.
The Hinkley Point C power plant in the UK, which was built under the authority of the French energy company, is now officially declared to be problematic. According to foreign media reports, the construction cost of the factory immediately soared to 460 million pounds, and the completion time was delayed by seven years.
The United Kingdom** may call this news"Bitter"But a report in the Financial Times was startling: CGN, a Chinese company that had completed a contract with the plant, refused to pay for the project's overruns.
It can be said that this sentence caught many people off guard. After all, the Chinese company pulled out of the project, and the part of the contract was settled. The whole reason for exceeding the budget is the withdrawal of Chinese companies, so why should Chinese companies pay for exceeding the budget?
In 2015, CGN and Energé de France (EDF) jointly built the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant in the United Kingdom. The plan is expected to cost £18 billion, with Chinese companies contributing £6 billion. This project was considered the glory of China's construction of foreign nuclear power plants, but then there were some surprises.
Over the course of 11 years, we have built and operated the world's fourth nuclear power plant together with China's Huaneng and Tsinghua University. In this project, the technical bottleneck of high-temperature gas-cooled reactor is broken, and four high-temperature resistant ceramic cladding with outer dense PYC, SIC, internal dense PYC, and free PYC as the core are adopted.
Without the need for human intervention, it can effectively prevent more man-made accidents, natural disasters and other factors that may cause core melting. This is an important technological breakthrough, and we are confident to participate in bringing our nuclear energy technology to the world.
But, surprisingly, due to the influence of the United States, Britain decided not to involve us in this plan, but to give this project to French energy companies. In the end, CGN decided to withdraw from this project and handle its own contract, so CGN Accounting completely withdrew from this project.
However, EDF is not yet able to complete some of the projects provided by Chinese companies on their own, which may be costly. As a result, the cost of building nuclear power plants in the UK has risen and many technical problems have arisen. In this regard, instead of saving Chinese companies, Britain has put the blame on us.
However, the actions of the British did not shock us much. After all, our plans ended at the end of last year, all the money was recovered, and accordingly, the British "little tricks" will no longer work.
