"The little train that we had been dreaming of is back again, and we are very excited to see this. ”

On February 20th, the "Dabuling to Xingfuli" forest train in Jianxi Town, Shunchang County began to be hoisted and debugged, and many residents in the town and surrounding areas rushed to the scene early in the morning to observe and take pictures after hearing the news.

As the inheritance of Shunchang forestry culture, Jianxi Town is the starting point of the main line of Jianxi Forest Railway. From the 50s to the 90s of the last century, there was the longest forest railway in southern China in Jianxi Forest District, with a total length of 14266 km. The forest train is an important tool for transporting timber in the forest area to support the construction of New China, and it is also a means of transportation connecting surrounding villages and towns, and undertakes the responsibility of personnel transportation.

Jianxi Town takes the opportunity of learning the experience of the "Ten Million Project", based on the actual forestry cultural and historical heritage, and reproduces and restores the forest railway and forest train. The total length of the newly built line is about 17 km. The diesel engine carried by the forest train adopts the form of 1:1 replica to restore the construction of Xisen Railway, with two carriages. After the commissioning is completed, it is expected to be put into use at the end of February.

Jiang Bingqiu, a villager from Luzi Village, Jianxi Town: "In the past, the carriages were not so beautiful and simpler. It feels very good now. I hope the first batch of people can sit on it and feel it. ”

Cai Huabin, mayor of Jianxi Town: "The opening of the forest train will connect the three areas with the most forestry cultural characteristics in Jianxi, including the lumber yard, the forest iron department and the forestry middle school, which can inject new vitality into our revitalization and utilization of historical buildings along the line and the development of leisure and health care industry." ”
