Recently, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been escalating and the situation is very tense. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said during his Jan. 4-11 trip to the Middle East that his aim was to avoid further deterioration of the situation. After visiting Greece and Turkey, Blinken told countries in the Middle East that they must use their influence to prevent the region from falling into an endless cycle of violence. In particular, he mentioned that Turkey is ready to play its part. Turkey, for its part, said that during his meetings with Blinken, Erdogan** had been strongly critical of Israel.

Blinken had just concluded his visit to Greece and Turkey for his fourth trip to the Middle East since October. He is also expected to visit Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, the West Bank and Egypt. Blinken said that during his trip, he will call on countries in the Middle East to use their influence and relationships to prevent the conflict from spreading. He said that it is in the interest of almost all countries in the Middle East to contain the war, otherwise the region will be mired in an endless cycle of violence, leaving people living in insecurity and conflict. He also said that too many Palestinians have been killed, especially children, and that he will discuss with regional countries how to maximize the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip, provide humanitarian assistance, and achieve lasting peace and security in the Palestinian-Israeli region.

Blinken singled out Turkey, saying it could play an important role in resolving the conflict. "I think it's clear from today's dialogue that Turkey is ready to play an active and productive role after the end of the conflict and to work more broadly to find a path to sustainable peace and security ......," he saidI think they are equally ready to use their connections, influence and relationships with some of the key players and key countries in the region to do everything possible to prevent the escalation of the conflict. Blinken also held talks with Turkey's Erdogan, the chief and the head of the National Intelligence Agency. During the talks, Erdogan reportedly harshly criticized Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, Blinken discussed Sweden's accession to NATO with the Turkish side. Turkey has been reluctant to ratify Sweden's accession, much to the frustration and disappointment of the US side.

At present, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been going on for three months, and the situation outside the Gaza Strip is becoming more and more worrying. Tensions in areas such as Lebanon, northern Israel, the Red Sea, and Iraq have put enormous pressure on the United States, and the international community has become increasingly critical of Israel's military actions.

The purpose of Blinken's trip to the Middle East is precisely because of concerns about the escalation of the situation in the region. On the morning of the 6th, just before his departure, Allah Lebanon fired 62 rockets at a military base in northern Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Saleh Alururi, deputy chairman of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Politburo. There have been no reports of damage to personnel** and facilities.

U.S. spokesman Robert Miller previously admitted that the problems in the Middle East are very thorny and difficult, and the United States does not expect Blinken's visit to solve them easily. However, Blinken believes that as an international leader, the United States has a responsibility to face these challenges and lead diplomatic efforts.

The Middle East has always been one of the focal points of the world situation, and various conflicts and wars have brought great suffering and losses to the local people. The appeal and hope expressed by Blinken during his visit to the Middle East reflect the international community's concern and concern for the regional situation. It is in the common interest of all countries in the Middle East to make full use of the influence and relations of all countries to prevent the spread of conflicts and to achieve peace and security.

However, it is not easy to achieve this goal. The complex interweaving of the interests of all parties, the existence of problems left over from history, and the interference of external factors have all made it more difficult to resolve the Middle East issue. It is only through the joint efforts of all parties and good faith dialogue that a viable solution can be found.

As China's self-editor, I also have my own thoughts on the Middle East issue. The Middle East region is an important energy partner of China, and we have close ties and cooperation. We hope that lasting peace and stability can be achieved in the Middle East region, which will provide a better environment and conditions for our cooperation.

At the same time, the Middle East issue has also given us some food for thought. How to better safeguard regional and world peace and stability while protecting one's own interests is an issue that requires careful consideration. I am confident that, through the joint efforts of all parties, a solution to the problems of the Middle East region can finally be found and lasting peace and security can be achieved. This will also make a positive contribution to world peace and development.
