Information about the 2024 25 Entrance Exams
Registration Period:
February 15 to April 30, 2024
It is possible to enrol in entrance exams for Level 1 and Level 2 academic courses, Level 1 Master's courses, young talent courses, preparatory courses and individual courses.
Entrance exam time:May 13 - May 31.
Documents required for registration:
Students from non-EU countries.
Proof of identity (front and back, and if the candidate is underage, one parent).
Tax ID number (front and back).
Valid visa and passport.
Proof of study qualifications, as an entry requirement for the chosen course, and a statement of value issued by an Italian diplomatic mission, if the degree was obtained in a country other than Italy.
PS: The deadline to submit the above value claim is when registering for the chosen course (after successful admission).
Required level of Italian or German:
B1 Level 1 Academic Programmes.
B2 Level 2 Academic Programmes.
Candidates from outside Europe can request** to take the entrance exam.
Exam content
Vocal Music - Undergraduate
The first round of exams is designed to validate the candidate's instrumental skills and maturity, while the second round validates basic theoretical knowledge and cultural knowledge.
The first round of exams
Prepare a program of at least 15 minutes in total, including at least one aria from an opera repertoire and at least one piece from a chamber music repertoire (e.g. art songs, serenades, romances). The jury reserves the right to suspend the examination at any time. This exam may include additional areas of verification at the discretion of the institution.
Second round of exams
Candidates must demonstrate their proficiency in the use of notation, understanding the basic elements of theory, performing basic listening exercises, rhythmic reading and singing exercises, and piano practice and reading.
Those who fail to demonstrate sufficient competence in the above areas in the entrance exams may be admitted to the three-year program, subject to mandatory attendance in a remedial course with a final examination corresponding to the end level of the theoretical area of the preparatory course.
Piano - Bachelor's degree
The first round of exams

Prepare a program that is at least 20 minutes longIncludes:
a) j.s.Preludes and fugues from Bach's Piano Pieces for Equal Temperament, or other important j s.Bach Works;
b) Present at least m clementi、f.j. haydn、w.a. mozart、l.van beethoven or fthe first movement of a sonata by Schubert;
c) Present at least f schubert、r. schumann、f. chopin、f. liszt、f. mendelssohn、j. brahms、c.an important work by Franck one;
d) At least present c debussy、m. r**el、a. scriabin、s. rachmaninoff、s.A major work by a prokofiev or other composer of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Second round of exams
Candidates must demonstrate their proficiency in using notation, understanding the basic elements of theory, and performing basic listening, rhythmic reading, and singing exercises.
Those who fail to demonstrate sufficient competence in the above areas in the entrance examination may be admitted to the three-year program, subject to mandatory attendance in a remedial course with a final examination that must be passed, corresponding to the level of completion of the theoretical part of the preparatory course.

Art Direction - Undergraduate
The first round of exams
Present at least 3 etudes with different techniques, which can be selected from the following composers: cCzerny (Op. 740), Jb.Cramer (60 etudes), M clementi(gradus ad parnassum)、i. moscheles、f. mendelssohn、j.c. kessler、f. chopin、f. liszt、a. scriabin、c. debussy、s. rachmaninoff、s.prokofieff or other authors of a comparable level of technology.
Prepare a program of at least 15 minutesIncludes:
a) j.s.A prelude and fugue from Bach's "A Very Good Vindor Keyboard Collection", or other important Js.bach's multi-part works;
b) m. clementi、f.j. haydn、w.a. mozart、l.van beethoven or fa movement from Schubert's sonata;
c) Choose a major 19th- or 20th-century Italian opera repertoire to sing with a singer or to indicate the singing part with the voice.
The jury reserves the right to suspend the examination at any time. At the discretion of each educational institution, there may be additional exam content.
Second round of exams
Candidates must demonstrate their proficiency in using notation, understanding the basic elements of theory, and performing basic listening, rhythmic reading, and singing exercises.
Those who fail to demonstrate sufficient competence in the above areas in the entrance examination may be admitted to the three-year program, subject to mandatory attendance in a remedial course with a final examination that must be passed, corresponding to the completion of the theoretical part of the preparatory course.
Violin Baroque - Bachelor's degree
The first round of exams
Play two exercises for the Opus Difficult, preferably by a different author.
For example, from fGeminiani's The Art of Violin Performance, Jh.Roman's 25 Exercises (not including the first 5), FBenda's 44 Songs, rKreutzer's 42 Exercises (excluding the two-string exercises);
Play at least two important pieces from a specific instrumental repertoire
For example, from a corelli, g. f. händel, a. vivaldi, g. p. telemann, f. a.bonporti, etc., or other Italian, German, or French authors of the 17th or 18th century.
The total duration of this round of auditions must not be less than 20 minutes. The jury reserves the right to suspend the audition at any time. At the discretion of the educational institution, additional assessment elements may be added (e.g., first sighting, improvisation, etc.).
Second round of exams
Candidates must demonstrate their proficiency in using notation, understanding the basic elements of theory, and performing basic listening, rhythmic reading, and singing exercises.
Those who fail to demonstrate sufficient competence in the above areas in the entrance examination may be admitted to the three-year program, subject to mandatory attendance in a remedial course with a final examination that must be passed, corresponding to the level of completion of the theoretical part of the preparatory course.

Prepare at least four important operatic arias, at least two of which need to be memorized and sung in at least two languages; Or, depending on the chosen specialization, prepare four solo works representing the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.

Stringed instruments (viola, cello, double bass).

A program of approximately 30 minutes containing important works related to the chosen direction, and the solo piece must be memorized.

Select a piece from the violin repertoire (if it is longer than 10 minutes, it can be played in its entirety).

A program of about 30 minutes with important works related to the chosen direction.

The 20-minute program includes:
Choose a movement from a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven;
* A prelude and fugue from the Piano Pieces of Equal Temperament;
Choice of modern, contemporary or romantic works;
Arias from opera repertoire that need to be played and sung.
