With the debut of the next-generation Ford Ranger in Europe, the M-Sport World Rally Team, which has a close relationship with Ford, has announced the launch of the next-generation Ranger MS-RT with an exclusive aerodynamic package for a sportier look, which will only be sold in Europe in the future, with deliveries expected to begin in mid-2024.
On the outside, the front end of the Ranger MS-RT is inspired by the Extreme Ranger Racing Trucks raced in Asia, with a honeycomb grille and integrated splitter at the front, which comes to the side of the car, and the side skirts lower the overall stance of the car for a sporty look. Moving to the rear, the rear tailgate features MS-RT graphics and a unique ducktail spoiler combination that has been optimised through computer simulations to assist in overall aerodynamic balance and enhance stability at high speeds. In terms of bead size, it uses 21-inch diamond-cut aluminum rims with 275 45 R21 tires, which is the largest rim size ever configured in the Ford Ranger lineup.
Inside, the racing seats are covered in eco-friendly leather and flannel for enhanced texture, and the headrests and dashboard are embellished with MS-RT lettering,** which is also accented with amalgamated blue stitching. It features a 13-inch** touchscreen and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster,** a touchscreen that introduces the brand's latest Sync 4 infotainment system, and comes standard with satellite navigation, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In terms of power, the Ranger MS-RT is equipped with a 3The 0-litre V-6 diesel engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, delivering 240ps of maximum horsepower and 600Nm of torque, and is equipped with Ford's newly developed E4WD all-wheel drive system. In terms of suspension, the Ranger MS-RT is equipped with an optimised front shock absorber and a retuned rear suspension that has been lowered by around 40mm to give the Ranger MS-RT a sportier look and provide greater handling precision and cornering stability. In terms of load-bearing, the Ranger MS-RT also has the same 1-ton carrying capacity as the regular Ranger model.
The MS-RT has been available at Ford's site since 2021, and the results of the collaboration between the two can be seen in the modified versions of the MS-RT on the Transit Connect, Transit Custom, Ranger and other models, and can be purchased directly by European consumers through the Ford Pro dealership.
