However, the Taiwan authorities have attributed the fishermen's deaths to so-called "drowning", an explanation that is unacceptable. Fishermen along the coast of Fujian are generally able to swim, so this explanation is obviously untenable. This is obviously an attempt by the Taiwan authorities to cover up their misconduct, which is full of righteous indignation.
In order to deal with the misconduct of the Taiwan authorities, our coast guard fleet has been fully dispatched to launch a large-scale law enforcement patrol operation in the Xiamen-Jin waters. According to reliable information, China's heroic coast guard fleet dispatched a number of law enforcement vessels, including the coast guard, to Kinmen and carried out a "trapping" operation on both sides of Kinmen Island. These coast guard vessels are equipped with 30mm cannons, which shows the determination and strength of our operation.
The direct purpose of this large-scale Coast Guard deployment is to protect the lives and property of our fishermen during fishing operations in the traditional Xiajin waters, so as to prevent interference by the Coast Guard. In the past, out of consideration for the overall situation of promoting harmonious relations between the two sides of the strait, we have always treated fishermen in the Taiwan region with a friendly attitude, and even set up a special reception station for fishermen, giving them warm hospitality like relatives, not only providing food and lodging, but also assisting their boats in refueling and refueling. However, in stark contrast, the Taiwanese authorities have been very harsh with our fishermen. According to incomplete statistics, between 2017 and 2023 alone, more than 9,000 Chinese fishing boats were intercepted by the Taiwan authorities, of which nearly 400 were seized and more than 80 were even "confiscated". This irrational behavior culminated in the recent tragedy.
I firmly believe that with our strong coast guard fleet for law enforcement patrols, our fishermen will be able to operate with peace of mind.
This large-scale cruise also provides us with an opportunity to "abolish" the so-called "no-restricted water lines". The blood of compatriots on both sides of the strait is thicker than water, and they are connected by blood, and there is no so-called "forbidden and restricted waters." The unilateral demarcation line by the Taiwan region has no legal effect and is even more unreasonable. The closest distance between Kinmen Island and the islands near Xiamen is less than two kilometers, and the Taiwan authorities' drawing of the so-called "demarcation line" in such a place is obviously provoking us and is unreasonable.
If the Coast Guard, a military organization in the Taiwan region, does not dare to confront the strong patrol of our coast guard, then the so-called "demarcation line" drawn by them will be meaningless. And if they dare to send ships to confront us, their overall fleet will be far inferior to our coast guard. Therefore, we have the ability to substantively control the waters of Xiamen and Kinmen, and firmly grasp the right to interpret the relevant regulations and the initiative to act in our own hands.
In the face of the domineering patrol of our powerful coast guard fleet, the Taiwan authorities are actually very panicked in their hearts, but they have chosen to maintain a "tough guy" posture in their mouths. Taiwan's "**** openly clamored that "you will not be allowed to enter the country without permission," and even arrogantly declared that it would "continue to enforce the law," claiming that this attitude will be carried out in the past, present, and future.
This shows that the Taiwan authorities have dared to threaten our normal maritime law enforcement patrol activities, and it shows that they have determined to deviate from the road of peace and resolutely embark on the line of confrontation with us! This kind of behavior is outrageous! Therefore, this vicious Coast Guard may have reached the time to be arrested by our coast guard!
