Celtic have announced that former England international Joe Hart will officially announce his retirement at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old, who started his football career with hometown club Shrewsbury, went on to spend more than 10 years at Manchester City, playing 348 games for the Blues, winning two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cups.
He spent the rest of his career in Torino, West Ham, Burnley, Tottenham before joining Scottish Premier League side Celtic in 2021/22, where he continues to this day. Joe Hart has played 50 games in all competitions for Celtic over the past two seasons and has played 34 games for the club so far this season, winning two Scottish Premier League titles, one Scottish Cup and two Scottish League Cups.
Joe Hart was a long-time England first-choice goalkeeper, making 75 appearances for the Three Lions and playing in major tournaments such as the 2010 World Cup, Euro 2012 and 2014 World Cup.
Now, with seven rounds of fixtures left in the Premier League, Joe Hart may only have around 10 games left in his career including the Scottish Cup. His retirement would be a great loss for the football world and mark the end of an era.
