Recently, China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd.") and Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Anshan Iron and Steel Group") signed a logistics general contract for 2024. Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. will provide Anshan Iron and Steel Group with logistics services for 32 million tons of goods throughout the year in the form of logistics general contract.

This is the first time that the railway department in Northeast China has provided nationwide logistics general contracting services for large enterprises in China. It is reported that the logistics general contracting service not only includes the steel business sent by Anshan Iron and Steel Group to all parts of the country, but also involves the coal, coke and other raw fuel business transported to Anshan Iron and Steel Group in Shanxi, Heilongjiang and other places. Under the unified coordination of China Railway Group, Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and local railway departments will provide key arrangements and priority organization services for Anshan Iron and Steel Group in terms of capacity allocation and loading organization, and provide overall logistics solutions according to actual needs.

To this end, Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has set up an Anshan Iron and Steel project team to establish an information communication and coordination mechanism to improve the experience and satisfaction of the enterprise. Anshan Iron and Steel Group has set up a special working class, set up working groups in various business sectors, established an assessment and reward mechanism, and analyzed the volume, procurement, production and sales of special topics.

Du Yanhui, deputy general manager of Anshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Logistics Management Center, said that the cooperation model of logistics general contracting not only reduces the logistics cost of enterprises, increases the market share of products, reduces the inventory of raw materials, but also improves the volume and transportation efficiency of railway goods. The simultaneous improvement of the benefits of all parties has further deepened the cooperation between enterprises and railways in the fields of integrated logistics and information platforms.

In this cooperation, the two sides for the first time included "special railway management optimization" and "establishment of an information sharing platform" into the scope of cooperation, and established a long-term mechanism for policy fulfillment and fulfillment of commitments in terms of volume, freight rate and capacity guarantee.
