On January 31, Gree Electric responded on Weibo that the company's increased year-end bonus of 200 million yuan had nothing to do with the free work mobile phone. 
On January 28, Dong Mingzhu, chairman and president of Gree Electric Appliances, announced at the Gree 2024 Global Dream Ceremony that "200 million more than the previous year will be used to give employees year-end bonuses". This matter has attracted attention and also caused some rumors, there are rumors on the Internet that Gree's 200 million year-end bonus is not cash, but deducted with Gree G3 mobile phone.
On January 31, Gree's official Weibo "Gree Electric Appliances" issued a statement saying that the company was concerned about the online circulation that "on January 28, Chairman Dong Mingzhu said at the Gree 2024 Global Dream Ceremony that an additional year-end bonus of 200 million yuan will be issued, which is actually a Gree mobile phone".
The statement mentioned that in order to better adapt to the company's work software, facilitate mobile office, and improve work efficiency, the company decided to equip each employee with a free work mobile phone (including free communication**), which will be distributed in batches around the Spring Festival. The company's increase of 200 million yuan in year-end bonuses has nothing to do with free work mobile phones, and the scope of the increased year-end bonus does not include middle and high-level cadres, and the increase is tilted towards front-line employees.
At the Gree 2024 Global Dream Ceremony, Dong Mingzhu said that in 2023, Gree Electric Appliances has achieved the best performance since its establishment 33 years ago: it is expected to achieve operating income of 205 billion yuan to 210 billion yuan, net profit of 27 billion yuan to 29.3 billion yuan, the company contributes about 17.6 billion yuan in taxes, and the average annual dividend in the past five years exceeds 1407.3 billion yuan.
Dong Mingzhu revealed that in 2023, Gree Electric's revenue, net profit, and tax payment will hit a record high, and in the next five years, Gree Electric will strive to double its performance.
