In most people's cognition, Qualcomm is a mobile phone chip manufacturer. In fact, Qualcomm is a company that develops radio communication technology and chips. However, there are dozens of mobile phone conferences in China every year, and whenever the performance of mobile phones is introduced, manufacturers will mention Qualcomm chips, which will inevitably cause cognitive biases among the general public over time.
Even Qualcomm's MWC exhibition area this year actually has the problem of misleading the general public. Because the Qualcomm exhibition area is full of mobile phones, such as Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14 UITRA, OnePlus 12, etc., domestic models occupy more than half of the Qualcomm exhibition area.
Unlike previous years, Qualcomm showcased a new variety at this year's MWC booth, and that is the AI PIN. The egg-sized device was the brainchild of a start-up, Humane. It is worth mentioning that the founders of the company are former Apple designer Imran Jod, as well as BĂ©fanie Bongiono.
According to the staff in the exhibition area, AI PIN is a miniature device that can be attached to clothes, mainly composed of a fuselage and an external battery, it does not have a screen, but it has a built-in OpenAI's GPT series large model, which can be interacted with by voice or projected on the palm of the hand.
In terms of core parameters, the AI PIN body weighs about 36 grams, the external battery pack weighs 20 grams, and it is equipped with 21 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon series chipset, 4GB+32GB storage combination. On top of that, it has a built-in 13-megapixel camera, a microphone, and a speaker that can be connected to a Bluetooth headset.
