The 5S management content of the factory is the basis of a lean production method that originated in Japan, which is mainly used to improve the working environment, improve work efficiency, and ensure quality and safety. It includes the following five aspects:
1.Finishing (seiri):
Distinguish essentials from non-essentials, remove non-essentials from the site, and reduce waste and mess.
Make sure that each item has its fixed location and use value.
2.Rectification (seiton):
Arrange and label essentials so everyone can quickly find and access them when they need them.
Equipment, tools, etc. should be arranged and stored in accordance with the order of operation and frequency of use.
3.Cleaning (seiso):
Clean up dirt, garbage and waste in the work area and keep the working environment clean and tidy.
Regularly maintain the equipment to ensure that the equipment is in good operating condition.
4.Cleaning (seiketsu):
Establish standards and norms, maintain and institutionalize the results of sorting, reorganization, and cleaning.
Through standardized operating procedures and regular inspections, we continue to improve the level of on-site management.
5.Literacy (**suke):
Improve the self-discipline and professional quality of employees, and develop the habit of abiding by rules and regulations.
Cultivate team spirit, let every employee actively participate in 5S activities, and form good working habits and corporate culture.
With the increasing importance of safety management, some enterprises have added "safety" on the basis of the original 5S to form 6S management.
