According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, in 2024, China's manned space program will coordinate and promote the application and development of the space station and the two major tasks of manned lunar exploration, and take solid steps towards the goal of building a space power. At present, the work of the application and development stage of China's space station is progressing steadily as planned, and the development and construction of the lunar landing phase of the manned lunar exploration project is progressing smoothly.

Since entering the application and development stage of the space station, the whole project has been closely coordinated, and has successfully completed two cargo spacecraft replenishment, two manned spacecraft launches and two spacecraft return missions. At present, the Shenzhou-17 astronaut crew stationed on the space station is in good physical and mental condition and is expected to return to the ground at the end of April. In 2024, the project plans 2 manned missions and 2 cargo spacecraft replenishment missions, the Tianzhou-7 cargo spacecraft replenishment mission has been successfully completed in January, and the follow-up will be followed by the implementation of Shenzhou-18 and Shenzhou-19 manned missions and Tianzhou-8 cargo spacecraft replenishment missions. The astronaut crews for the two manned missions have been selected and are undergoing mission training. In addition, more than 150 space science research and application projects have been arranged and implemented in orbit, involving space life science and human research, microgravity physics and new space technologies, and a number of internationally leading applications and technological achievements have been achieved.

While meticulously organizing and implementing the tasks of the space station application and development stage, aiming at the goal of achieving the first landing of Chinese on the moon by 2030, the development and construction of the lunar landing stage of the manned lunar exploration project in 2024 will also be stepped up. At present, the Long March 10 carrier rocket, Mengzhou manned spacecraft, lunar lander, lunar landing suit and other major flight products have entered the initial sample development stage, and the Wenchang launch site will also start the construction of various test and launch facilities and equipment supporting the lunar landing mission, and the relevant development and construction work of each system is progressing as planned.

Adhering to peaceful use, equality, mutual benefit, and common development are the principles that China has always adhered to in the development of its manned space industry. Subsequently, international cooperation projects with the United Nations Office for Outer Space and other institutions will be steadily promoted in accordance with the established plan. China is willing to share the achievements of China's manned space development with all countries in the world, especially developing countries, to jointly promote the development of space technology in the world and make positive contributions to the peaceful use of space for the benefit of all mankind.
