Embraer: C-390 transport aircraft are in high demand in Asia.
Embraer expects strong demand for its C-390 transport aircraft in the Asian market. It is reported that the company recently successfully bid for the Large Transport Tactical Aircraft II project from the South Korean Defense Procurement Project Administration, winning a value of 5$4.4 billion contract. This is the first order for the C-390 in Asia, and it is expected to be a precursor for other countries in the region to follow in the future.
The C-390 is a powerful, versatile freighter that is fast, efficient and flexible. It can carry out transportation, rescue, medical and humanitarian assistance missions in various harsh environments, and has become the first choice for air forces and civil aviation of various countries.
Embraer said it is currently considering further expanding its target market and plans to announce new customers in the first quarter. According to the company, they will be unveiled at the Singapore Airshow and will be looking to introduce the C-390 to other countries in the region.
To further strengthen its position in the Asian market, Embraer recently signed a maintenance, repair and overhaul agreement with ST Engineering to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the C-390 in the region. In addition, Embraer is working with domestic companies and has collaborated in places such as India and Saudi Arabia.
In India, Embraer has partnered with Mahindra Defence Systems to supply C-390 transport aircraft to the Indian Air Force. As far as is known, the Indian Air Force plans to replace the aging An-32 aircraft and plans to purchase from 40 to 80 medium transport aircraft. At the same time, Embraer has partnered with Saudi Arabian Military Industries to introduce the C-390 in Saudi Arabia and establish a regional MRO center and assembly line there to meet the needs of the region.
Embraer hopes to further expand into the Asian market through its partnership with Sweden's Saab. They are confident that with the C-390's excellent performance and reliability, the aircraft will be even more successful in Asia and meet the growing demand for transportation.
Overall, Embraer has shown strong confidence in the needs of the Asian market and will continue to deepen cooperation with Asian countries to promote the application and development of the C-390 transport aircraft in the region.
