Wang Zhonghei, some people may not know much about him. He was a famous general in the middle of the Tang Dynasty, and his reputation rose to prominence at a young age, and he defeated him, whether it was the Khitan, Xi, Turkic, or Tibetan.
Wang Zhongsi, a young hero after the famous general. His father was Wang Haibin, the prince's right guard and Feng'an's military envoy, who was brave and good at fighting, and made many contributions in the battle with Tubo.
In July of the second year of Kaiyuan (714), Wang Haibin and Xue Ne and other generals resisted the Tubo people who entered the Kou and died on the battlefield. However, under the heroic charge of Wang Haibin, the Tang army still won a great victory, beheading 17,000 Tubo troops.
When Wang Haibin died, Wang Xun, who was only nine years old, entered the palace. As soon as he saw the emperor, Wang Xun immediately fell to the ground and cried, Tang Xuanzong deeply felt Wang Haibin's bravery, and gave Wang Xun the name of "loyal heir" to show that he was loyal and good.
Subsequently, Tang Xuanzong appointed Wang Xun as Shang Yuan Fengyu and learned the art of war in the palace. Wang Xun had a close relationship with Tang Suzong, and when they discussed the art of war in the palace, Wang Xun answered fluently, which was in stark contrast to Huo Quai's failure to read military books.
Tang Xuanzong thought that Wang Zhonghei would become a great weapon in the future, so he asked him to go to the border to practice. When Wang Zhongsi arrived in Daizhou, he severely punished the lawbreakers, and the local tycoons were all closed and did not dare to do evil.
In addition to dealing with internal affairs, Wang Zhongsi often led light horsemen out to attack Hu. Tang Xuanzong was worried about Wang Zhonghe's safety, so he recalled him. However, Wang Zhonghe's bravery and resourcefulness have won people's respect and admiration.
Narrowly escaped the capture of the Tibetan Zampu, and the young general Wang Zhongsi beheaded hundreds of people in the Tang Dynasty. The Tibetan chieftain Zampu was the most powerful and vicious enemy in history, and his position was exalted.
In one battle, the young Wang Zhongsi led 300 light cavalry and almost succeeded in capturing him. Because of his military prowess, Wang Zhongji was considered a waste of his talent to stay in the interior.
Hexi Jiedu made Xiao Song repeatedly introduce Wang Zhongsi as his subordinate to fight against Tibet. However, because Wang Zhonghei was young and had the desire to avenge his father, Tang Xuanzong issued an edict not allowing him to be appointed as a heavy general.
But Wang Zhongsi did not follow Tang Xuanzong's orders. One day, Tubo Zampu was training near Hexi, preparing to attack the Tang Dynasty and demonstrate. At this time, when Xiao Song entered the court to report on his work, Wang Zhongsi couldn't hold back his desire for revenge, and led three hundred light horsemen to quietly march to the Tubo Zanpu Department.
However, the number of enemy troops was too large, and Wang Zhonghe's subordinates were almost frightened, and they all said that they wanted him to go back. But Wang Zhongji did not listen, he took advantage of the unpreparedness of the Tibetans, led the cavalry to attack the enemy camp, slashed and killed with a big sword, only to kill the corpses of the Tubo people all over the field, Zampu fled.
Thousands of people were killed, and tens of thousands of sheep and horses were captured. Xiao Song reported his exploits to the imperial court. At that time, Wang Zhongji was 27 years old, and Tang Xuanzong was very happy and gave him promotions many times.
Wang Zhongsi not only has a strategy, but also has a very high force, often riding alone to assault, invincible. Du Wang, the new envoy of Hexi Jiedu, wanted to capture the new city of Tubo, so he summoned Wang Zhonghei from the court to help, and finally captured the new city of Tubo.
Wang Zhonghei has a lot of merit, and he was appointed as a general of Zuo Wei Weilang, specializing in soldiers and horses. Soon, the Tibetans sent troops in large numbers, preparing to avenge the defeat of Xincheng. This time the Tibetan army was menacing and numerous, and the Tang army was outnumbered, and the whole army was very afraid.
However, Wang Zhongsi was like a god descending from the earth, riding alone into the enemy formation, rushing left and right with swords and guns, killing hundreds of people by himself, which was even more powerful than Xiang Yu. The Tibetan army trampled on each other in a panic, the Tang army attacked from the flank, and the Tibetan army was defeated.
Brave and invincible, in the first year of Tianbao (742), Wang Zhongsi shouldered a heavy responsibility, served as the governor of Lingzhou and the envoy of Shuofang Jiedu, and became a famous general worthy of the feudal officials.
He led 100,000 elite cavalry to the north out of Yanmen to meet the 200,000 Xi and Khitan coalition forces at the Sangqian River, and the two sides launched a decisive battle at the Sangqian River. The Tang army attacked with thunder, three battles and three victories, the Xi and Khitan coalition forces were defeated, the whole army was annihilated, and all the 36 Xi and Khitan troops surrendered to the Tang army.
Wang Zonghei pacified the entire Mobei, and the entire grassland praised his heroic deeds. As soon as Wang Zhongsi triumphed, there was a civil strife in the Turkic Yehu, and Wang Zhongsi led the Tang army out of the fortress to deter him.
Fearful, Usumish Khan asked for surrender, but secretly continued to engage in anti-Tang activities. As a result, Wang Zhongsi skillfully used counter-tactics between Ba Ximi and the three tribes subordinate to the Turks, including Gelulu and Hui, so that they all joined the Tang Dynasty and became enemies of Wusu.
Immediately, the Tang army ordered the three major tribes to attack Wusu, and as a result, the Wusu soldiers were defeated and fled, and the country was in chaos. Therefore, Wang Zhongsi decisively ordered the Shuofang Department to attack on all fronts and violently attack the Wusu Turks.
Shuofang crossed the desert, the horses were abundant, well-equipped, and the morale was high, in the face of the powerful Tang army, the Turks except for the war dead, the troops were basically all captured by the Tang army, and all important people surrendered to the Tang court.
Since then, the Turks in the Western Regions have been peaceful.
Wang Zonghe's military exploits are unparalleled, so Tang Xuanzong gave him a heavy responsibility. He also served as an envoy to Hedong Jiedu, and built cities on the border line to open up the frontier, so that the Hu people in Mobei no longer dared to provoke the Tang Dynasty.
After that, he served as the Taishou of Xiping County, sentenced to Wuwei County, and concurrently served as the envoy of Hexi and Longyou Jiedu, and concurrently served as the envoy of the Four Towns Jiedu, controlling 260,000 soldiers and horses, and his power surpassed that of An Lushan later.
His achievements were unprecedented since the founding of the Tang Dynasty, including the battles in Qinghai and Jishi, and the crusade against Tuyuhun in Moli, all of which were great victories and successfully occupied the whole country.
Wang Zhonghe, a famous general of the Tang Dynasty, was deeply valued by Tang Xuanzong. However, Tang Xuanzong was dissatisfied with Wang Zhonghei because he listened to slander. Wang Zhongsi once opposed the attack on Shibao City, believing that this battle would cause a large number of people, and the strategic value was not great.
However, Tang Xuanzong did not follow Wang Zhonghe's advice, but issued an edict to consult the opinions of other generals. Dong Yanguang proposed to attack Shibao City, and Tang Xuanzong ordered Wang Zhongsi to respond.
Although Wang Zhongsi was reluctant, he still sent 10,000 soldiers. However, knowing that the lives of his soldiers are precious, he refuses to give them a heavy reward, resulting in low morale among them.
Later, Dong Yanguang failed to conquer Shibao City and put the blame on Wang Zhonghe. In addition, An Lushan had asked Wang Zhongsi to help build the city, but in fact he wanted to annex Wang Zhongsi's army.
Wang Zhongsi saw An Lushan's conspiracy, immediately returned to the imperial court, and repeatedly wrote that An Lushan would rebel. However, in order to frame Wang Zhonghei, Li Linfu slandered Tang Xuanzong, saying that Wang Zhonghei conspired to establish Wang Zhongji as the crown prince.
Tang Xuanzong believed it and demoted Wang Zhonghei to Hanyang Taishou, and finally caused him to die of illness in office. If Wang Zhongsi had not been framed, then the Tang Dynasty might have been able to avoid the tragedy of the Anshi Rebellion.
