Faith is not beautiful, good words are not believed. The good do not argue, and the debater is not good. Those who know are not knowledgeable, and those who are knowledgeable do not know

Interpretation. True and credible words do not sound good, and beautiful words are not true and credible; A good person is not a good man, and a man who is a good man is not kind; Those who really understand do not pretend that they are knowledgeable, and those who show off their knowledge are not really understanding.
Appreciation. This sentence reflects Lao Tzu's wise and foolish attitude towards the world, those who are wise always treat everything modestly, and those who are shallow in their knowledge are proud and complacent, which is a manifestation of extreme shallow ignorance.
Pengsheng hemp, not upright; The white sand is in Nirvana, and it is black with it.
Excerpt from "Xunzi. Persuasion".
Interpretation. The fluffy grass grows in the hemp field and can stand without support, and the white sand mixed with the black soil will also turn black with it.
Appreciation. Xunzi used "fluffy grass" and "gravel" as metaphors to illustrate the important impact of the environment on people's growth and success, emphasizing that people must receive a good education and the edification of benevolence in order to grow healthily.
The Tao is different, and they do not conspire with each other.

Interpretation. People with different ideas and ideals cannot plan and cooperate together.
Appreciation. "Dao" refers to ideals, beliefs, positions, etc., Confucianism advocates tolerance, benevolence, harmony, "the same way" and "the Tao is different", should adhere to their own ideas, not to be swayed by the other party, and then often use this sentence to express unwillingness to work with some people who do not agree with their own ideas and views.
