The adventures of life are really wonderful and unavoidable. Once, I was recommended to work in Poland by foreign tourists because I became a tour guide. On a carpool trip, I met a handsome Polish guy who fell in love with me at first sight, even though he had a girlfriend at the time. We traveled together, gradually fell in love with each other, and finally got a license and had a child. He even accompanied me back to China to start a business. Life seems to be getting better and better, however, fate has given me a test of fire that burns me beyond recognition.
In the face of this huge change, I hesitated and worried: Will I be disliked by my husband because of my disfigurement? Will my career be greatly affected as well? However, the wonderful thing about life is that even after a huge blow, I still insist on being optimistic and trying to challenge myself to make life more colorful.
I, Li Haiyan, was born in Tangshan, Hebei Province, and grew up in my parents' long-term long-distance bus travel. I have always felt insecure because of the lack of parental companionship, but I excelled academically and was loved by my elders, teachers, and classmates. Even though my family was once poor, I always believed that happiness needed to be earned by my own efforts.
In 2005, I was admitted to university and chose to major in polymer materials, but I found that I had no interest in it. After graduating, I turned down the opportunity to go to graduate school, gave up my job, and fell into a long period of job hunting. Until one day, my father's friend recommended me to become a tour guide, which became an opportunity in my life.
I came to Beijing to look for a job, but found that my ability to speak English became a bottleneck for me in my job search. However, this did not discourage me, I worked hard to improve my speaking and eventually landed a job at a travel agency. In my work, I showed dedication and sincerity, winning the affection and gratuities of tourists. Life gradually became more and more colorful, and I even got the opportunity to work abroad and came to Poland.
Life in Poland is not as prosperous as in other countries, but I find freedom and tranquility here. On a carpool tour, I got acquainted with a handsome Polish guy, Michal. Even though he had a girlfriend at the time, we grew in love with each other. Eventually, we came together and even returned to China to start a business together.
However, the trick of fate put me through a fire, and I faced great challenges and troubles as a result. Faced with the possibility of disfigurement, I was worried about whether my husband would dislike me and whether my career would be hit hard. But I choose to remain optimistic and believe that with a positive mindset, everything will work out.
