Synthesis of polymers: The synthesis of PEG-SAA requires the use of azodiisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as a free radical initiator, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as a solvent, and N-bromosuccinimide (NBB) as a bromination reagent. First, dissolve PEG and PEG-SAA in DMF and stir well at 70 °C. Next, add PEG-SAA and NBB to the solution and continue stirring until completely dissolved.
