A minister with mixed merits
Chen Lumin
Recently, in a certain neighboring country of our country, the newly appointed young master has made a major personnel adjustment, and all the former ministers of the four major ministers have lost their positions, or they have been dismissed, transferred from key posts, or removed from their posts for investigation. Once again, a law is confirmed: since ancient times, it is difficult for ministers to die well, it seems that they have great power in their hands and unlimited scenery, but it is actually a high-risk profession.
The term Gu Ming comes from the chapter "Shang Shu Gu Ming", which records the process of King Zhou Cheng summoning several ministers when he was seriously ill and ordering them to assist his son King Kang on the throne. Since then, there has been the saying of the Minister of Care. The so-called ministers who take care of their lives are because the emperor who inherited the throne was too young to listen to the government, so before the death of the previous emperor, he entrusted the confidant ministers who assisted the new emperor. However, it is feared that the power of only one person is too concentrated, and there are generally multiple ministers to assist them, so as to check each other.
Those who can be selected as ministers of care for their lives give the impression that they are all old subordinates who are capable, loyal and reliable, and trusted by the emperor, and they are not so complicated nepotism. But the dragon gave birth to nine sons, each with its own differences. In fact, the ministers of Gu Ming are also mixed, good and bad, some play a good role, some play a bad role, and some even backfire, and so on.
The most loyal minister is none other than Zhuge Liang. After Liu Bei's death, he continued to assist Liu Chan, not because of the incompetence of the queen and the faintness of the other ambitions, but still loyal, conscientious, dedicated to the great cause of reunification, and died. His sons and grandsons also died defending the Shu Han regime. He was worthy of Liu Xuande's White Emperor City Tuogu, and fulfilled his promise to the ancestors.
The most cunning minister should be led by Sima Yi. He was Cao Cao's former minister and was deeply trusted, but he deceived Cao Cao and Cao Pi's father and son with a false appearance, and was twice awarded the Minister of Gu Ming. Ambitious, he did not think about how to fulfill the entrustment of the first emperor, but actively formed gangs, cultivated wings, and pretended to be sick to show weakness, designed to get rid of other ministers, monopolized the government, and finally his grandson seized the power of Cao Wei and completed the great cause of the return of the Three Kingdoms to Jin. He is one of the few ministers who have managed to make the cut.
The most domineering minister, we naturally think of Aobai. Ao Bai was one of Kangxi's ministers, and the other three were Sony, Suppilon, and Suke Saha. Ao Bai formed a party for personal gain, arrogant and domineering, not only excluded the other three ministers, but also did not put Kangxi in his eyes, did not respect the will, did not abide by the ministers' festivals, commanded, rampant palace ban, and did whatever he wanted, so that Kangxi could not bear it, and finally designed to capture him alive, but he was not detained, and died in the forbidden place soon after.
The most majestic minister is Huo Guang. During Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, when he was seriously ill, he ordered the painter to paint a picture of the Duke of Zhou carrying King Cheng of Zhou and gave it to Huo Guang, hoping that Huo Guang would assist the prince like the Duke of Zhou. After the death of Emperor Wu, Huo Guang and Jin Riyan, Shangguan Ji, and Sang Hongyang were the ministers of Gu Ming, and soon, Huo Guang removed the other three and grasped the highest power of the Han Dynasty. Since then, Huo Guang has been in charge of the supreme power of the Han family for nearly 20 years, and his sons, sons-in-law, and younger brothers have also held important positions, and have married many people in the royal family, and the power of the Huo family is unmatched.
The most failed minister, Su Shun will definitely be selected. Su Shun was one of the eight ministers of the Tongzhi Emperor, in July 1861, Emperor Xianfeng died, he was appointed as the head of the eight ministers of the order, and he was full of ambition for a while. In September, Emperor Zigong of Hu Xianfeng was on the way to Miyun, Prince Gong and the Empress Dowager of the Two Palaces joined forces to launch the "Xinyou Coup". When it was full, his minister worked for a month. Before his execution, he used the Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu's Seven Absolute "Red Cliffs" in the "Dongfeng does not cooperate with Zhou Lang, Tongque Chun Shen Lock Er Qiao" as a masterpiece, complaining that Emperor Xianfeng did not listen to his advice, and killed the Empress Dowager Xi before Emperor Tongzhi succeeded to the throne.
The most defeated minister is Zhao Gao. Zhao Gao was Qin Shi Huang's most favored minister, after the death of Qin Shi Huang, Zhao Gao launched a coup d'état in the dunes, conspired with Prime Minister Li Si to forge an edict, forced Qin Shi Huang's eldest son Fusu to commit suicide, and set up Hu Hai as Qin II, and appointed himself as Lang Zhongling. Soon, he designed to kill Li Si, and then became the prime minister of the Qin Dynasty, monopolizing power, forming parties for personal gain, making the conscription more onerous, and the administration more harsh, pushing the tyrannical and harsh government of the Qin Dynasty to its peak, thus greatly accelerating its demise. The so-called "second and dead", Zhao Gao is the first promoter.
The minister of Gu Ming is the companion of the family and the hereditary young master, and now it has long become an antique for the vast majority of countries, which is the progress of history.
