Member Wang Tongzhou.
Since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013, the concept of green, low-carbon and sustainable development has gradually deepened, and green is becoming the most distinctive background. Wang Tongzhou, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CCCG, believes that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" should adhere to the principle of "extensive consultation, joint construction and sharing", pursue "green", strengthen international cooperation, promote green technology, strengthen the docking of green international standards, and continue to polish the most beautiful background of the "Belt and Road".
Wang Tongzhou suggested that policy guidance and mechanism support should be strengthened, and the establishment of a coordination and linkage mechanism for overseas investment by state-owned enterprises should be studied to promote enterprises to "go to sea together". Support and encourage the R&D, promotion and application of green technologies, reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption of the entire industrial chain, and create a number of benchmarks for typical green "Belt and Road" projects.
China's confidence in green development should be actively conveyed to the world. He suggested that the green Belt and Road Initiative should be promoted to be connected with climate change and biodiversity cooperation under the framework of the United Nations, and the implementation of green infrastructure, green energy and green transportation projects should enrich the overseas practice of the "Two Mountains" theory. Accelerate the docking of green standards, actively promote domestic green investment standards, participate in the formulation of international green standards, and promote the "going overseas" of Chinese rules and standards. Enterprises should also be encouraged to actively explore models and paths to promote the internationalization of Chinese standards and technologies through project construction.
