Steel surface magnesia composite air duct is a kind of air duct used in building ventilation and air conditioning systems, which is characterized by good fire resistance and anti-corrosion ability. According to Chinese national standards and industry standards, the specifications and standards of steel surface magnesia composite air ducts mainly include the following points:
1.GB51251-2017 "Technical Standard for Building Smoke Prevention and Exhaust System": This standard requires that the air duct of smoke prevention, smoke exhaust and make-up air system must meet a certain fire resistance limit to ensure that its function can be maintained in the event of a fire.
2.GB50016-2014 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings" (2018 Edition): This code puts forward the requirements for the fire resistance limit of the air duct passing through the fire separation, the fire resistance limit of the general fire partition wall is 1 3 hours, and the fire resistance limit of the floor slab is 15 hours, the fire resistance limit of the firewall is not less than 30 hours. For civil buildings with a height of more than 250 meters, the fire resistance limit of the fire air duct that horizontally passes through the fire partition or refuge area shall meet 15-hour request.
3.JG T258-2018 "Non-metallic and Composite Air Duct": As an industry standard, this standard stipulates the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of non-metallic and composite air ducts. As a kind of composite air duct, the steel magnesia composite air duct needs to comply with the relevant provisions of the standard.
The steel magnesia composite air duct is usually composed of anti-corrosion metal plate and magnesia inorganic fire-resistant insulation layer, which can reach the A-level non-combustible fire rating, that is, it is non-combustible in case of fire, smokeless and non-toxic. The use of this material increases the safety of the duct system and is particularly suitable for applications with high fire protection requirements.
According to the "Steel Mask Magnesia Composite Air Duct" (T CECS 10214-2022) standard issued by the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association, the standard will be implemented from February 1, 2023, providing more detailed and specific guidance for the design, production, installation and acceptance of steel surface magnesia composite air duct.
