From February 28 to March 1 local time, the Italian Energy Exhibition (Key Energy 2024) was held at the Rimini Exhibition Center in Italy. CHINT Xinneng attended the event with industry partners and customers, and brought Astro N5 and Astro N7 series modules to the scene to explore more possibilities for Astro modules to empower Europe's clean development.

The annual Italian Energy Exhibition (Key Energy 2024) is one of the important events in the field of renewable energy in Italy, which is highly influential and well-known in Italy and even the Mediterranean region, providing an important platform for cooperation, exchange and development among professionals and practitioners in related fields in the field of renewable energy around the world.

According to data released by the Italian power grid Terna, the Italian photovoltaic market will add 5 new installed capacity in 20232GW, an increase of more than 110% compared with 2022, is an important emerging growth point in Europe. Distributed PV is the main driver of the Italian PV market. 2. 22GW, accounting for 42% of the total new photovoltaic installed capacity in the year, and industrial and commercial photovoltaic installed capacity 25GW, accounting for 49%. In November 2023, the European Commission approved Italy's €5.7 billion energy community plan for the development of 1GW of renewable energy communities, and Italy's distributed PV is expected to continue to maintain explosive growth.

The Astro N7S exhibited at this exhibition was built by CHINT New Energy to anchor overseas distributed business needs.

The Astro N7S uses rectangular silicon wafers and innovatively superimposed ZBB-TF technology to achieve a module efficiency of up to 23%, creating a continuous and stable high power generation, which is favored by customers at home and abroad. As a distributed module product, the ASTRO N7S is compact and lightweight, and the weight of the double-glass module is only 215kg, which can be installed and transported by a single person, has the unique advantage of "lightweight, efficient, high-quality and beautiful".

The ZBB-TF technology used in Astro N7S is an innovative battery technology developed by CHINT Xinneng, which pre-fixes the welding wire through a laminating film (modified adhesive film), so that the connection between the battery and the welding strip is completed in the laminator. Compared with infrared welding, the interconnect temperature is reduced to below 150 degrees, which greatly reduces the thermal stress and effectively reduces the risk of cracking in the module manufacturing process. This technology is more environmentally friendly because it eliminates the flux used in the traditional soldering process and avoids the emission of harmful gases. At the same time, this technology can also effectively reduce the amount of silver paste and the thickness of silicon wafers, fully practicing the concept of green and low-carbon.

In addition, in response to the development status of agricultural photovoltaic in Europe, CHINT New Energy has also launched special module products suitable for the agricultural photovoltaic field. On the basis of the conventional ASTRO N5 module, by reducing some of the cell strings, the ASTRO N5 double-glass module achieves up to 35% light transmittance, opening up a broader application space for agricultural photovoltaics. Agricultural PV modules continue the excellent reliability of the Astro N series, in terms of electrical performance parameters, by reducing the voltage, the inverter cost is reduced to a certain extent, and by using with conventional modules, various light transmittance matching is realized.

In 2022, Italy's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policy launched a €1.5 billion incentive scheme for agricultural PV projects. At the beginning of 2024, Italy passed the Agricultural Photovoltaic Decree, which will allocate 1 billion euros for the construction of clean energy systems on agricultural land, with plans to install at least 104GW clean energy. CHINT ASTRO N5 series agricultural photovoltaic modules will effectively meet the rapid growth of the Italian agricultural photovoltaic market. (Zhong Xinyuan).
