March 5 is the 61st anniversary of learning from Lei Feng. In the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area, the Three Gorges Base Tourism Company, a subsidiary of the Three Gorges Corporation, together with the Yichang City Tour Guide Association and the Gold Medal Tour Guide Studio, carried out the volunteer explanation activity of "Learning from Lei Feng and Cultivating a New Style". 
Relying on the Three Gorges Project, the world's largest water conservancy project, the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area organically combines modern engineering, natural scenery and cultural landscape to display engineering culture and water conservancy culture in an all-round way. The Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area has organized and carried out volunteer interpretation services for many years, giving full play to the role of the Three Gorges Project as a national demonstration base for patriotic education, in stimulating patriotic enthusiasm, rallying the strength of the people, and cultivating the national spirit.
On the morning of the 5th, 20 volunteers set off from the Visitor Center of the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area, divided into three routes, respectively to provide tourists with consultation and guidance, civilized supervision, volunteer explanation and other services. Volunteers provided volunteer lectures for tourists from all over the world in Tanziling Park, 185 Park and Interception Memorial Park, introducing the basic situation, construction process, and comprehensive benefits of the Three Gorges Project, and taking care of elderly tourists and children enthusiastically and meticulously.
The vivid and interesting explanations of the volunteers won unanimous praise from the tourists. Mr. Zhang, a tourist from Jiangsu, said: "Through their explanations, I know that the Three Gorges Project is a national patriotic education demonstration base, and I also learned in detail about the construction process of the Three Gorges Project. ”
In recent years, the number of tourists visiting the Three Gorges Dam has continued to grow. During the Spring Festival this year, the Three Gorges Dam tourist area received nearly 13 tourists50,000 people, a year-on-year increase of 7486%, another record high. Relevant statistics show that the proportion of young tourists continues to rise, and more and more post-90s and post-00s are approaching the major countries and feeling the vigorous power of scientific and technological innovation and national rejuvenation.
At the same time, with the continuous development of volunteer service in China, volunteer docents have gradually become an important force in the interpretation service of patriotic education demonstration bases. In the past three years, the tourism company has carried out red volunteer interpretation services in the Three Gorges Dam tourist area, and has provided volunteer interpretation services for more than 200,000 people.
