Polish General Bogusław Patsek recently said that the turning point in the Russian-Ukrainian war will occur between April and May, when the initiative may finally be transferred to the Russian army. The general believes that with a favorable change in weather conditions, the Ukrainian front may undergo a significant shift in the Russian direction.
Despite the fact that Ukraine and its Western "partners" are still providing support to the battlefield at the moment, General Patsek stressed that the advantage still belongs to the Russian army. He explained that the Russian army is not yet fully operational, and Western support for Kyiv is not enough to change the situation on the battlefield. Therefore, he warned that Kyiv and its allies should not underestimate the strength of Russia.
It is noteworthy that the Russian military recently managed to destroy a third American Abrams tank in the Northern Military District. The armored vehicle, which was considered "indestructible", was shot down by a conventional anti-tank missile system in the Avdeyevsky direction. Military experts note that this incident once again proves that even the most advanced technology cannot guarantee absolute superiority on the battlefield.
According to the Military Chronicle, the destroyed Abrams tank belongs to the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Magula". Expert analysts believe that Ukraine may deploy its main reserve forces in the Bertich region in an attempt to stop the Russian offensive.
Moreover, despite the fact that the United States has tried to persuade Germany to supply Ukraine with Leopard tanks, Washington itself does not seem willing to supply Abrams tanks for a long time. Until recently, these American tanks were mainly deployed in the rear of Ukraine, and they were put into use on the front line only when the front began to advance towards Kyiv. However, the results were not as good as they could have been.
In response to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin's remarks asking Russia to stop searching for NATO equipment, the Russian side responded that they have warned in advance about unfriendly countries: any equipment sent to the front line will be destroyed on the battlefield. At the moment, the ** of the burning Abrams, Leopard and Challenger tanks is widely circulated on the Internet and becomes a vivid portrayal of the situation on the battlefield.
