On the occasion of Women's Day, we had the pleasure of interviewing an unusual woman - Zeng Yanhong. She is not only the first person in China to climb Mount Everest, but also the mentor of the sports culture of Cargo Lala and the leader of the Global Development Management Trainee Program of Cargo Lala. Zeng Yanhong told reporters that the relationship with Lala stems from her love for mountaineering and her desire for challenges. After her first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 2017, the co-founder of Cargo Lala invited her to share her mountaineering experience with the company. She was impressed by the passion and dedication of the Lala team, and felt that this is a dynamic and innovative company. So, she decided to join Lala and bring her mountaineering spirit to her work.
I'm not the type of person who likes to live in the past, though. I think life is like climbing a mountain, when you reach the top, you have to come down and then go again. Zeng Yanhong said.

On October 25, 2019, Zeng Yanhong led the team to set off again, reaching the summit of 6659 meters above sea level for the first time, and named it "lalamove", the Chinese name "cargo lala". The area where the unclimbed summit is located has always been uninhabited, and there is no detailed information about the route and difficulty of the climb, with almost vertical climbing gradients, countless ice crevasses and huge abysses hidden beneath, rockfalls and avalanches along the way. After arriving at the base camp, it lasted another 3 days, and after a 1,200-meter ultra-high vertical climb, Zeng Yanhong and her team finally successfully reached the summit. The climb was not only a challenge to her personal abilities, but also a testament to the strength of women.
Nature doesn't change just because I've made it or broken a world record. In fact, one of the values that I like very much is humility. I just want to challenge myself and I want to do what I love. With such an identity of 'the first person in China to climb Mount Everest', the natural society has a lot of corresponding expectations for me. But I know very well what I want, and I also know that every time I reach the top, I am only a momentary medal in the river of human growth. ”
In Zeng Yanhong's view, every success is the result of years or even decades of accumulation and preparation, and challenges have become a part of her life, and they will never change because of the voices of the outside world. When encountering difficulties, Zeng Yanhong said that she rarely questions her ability. "It's not because I'm arrogant and humble, it's because I question myself as nothing to help solve the problem, and it's very internal. Soon after joining the company, I asked myself what my strengths were: sports and education, so I took these two as the starting point for my work in Lala (leading people to exercise and sharing with different departments to help them do team building), but I knew very well that my task was leadership training, and how to lead sports and education to leadership training was the key. ”
