A person's life is a long and winding road. In order to take this road well, each of us must cultivate our own three views, and make correct judgments again and again under the guidance of the three views, because what we have to face is not only difficulties, but also ** from the outside world.
In recent years, people often say that we must not forget the original intention, so what is the "original intention", and how should we keep the original intention? This is a complex and difficult question to answer, and I believe that everyone will have their own answer after thinking about it.
But what we are going to tell next is not the story of not forgetting the original intention, but a person who has discarded the original intention, this person's name is Zhang Guotao.
Zhang Guotao was born in Pingxiang County, Jiangxi. He was sent to a private school since he was a child, and later he was admitted to the preparatory department of Peking University, and with his own efforts, he successfully transferred to the undergraduate.
Like many young people who had received advanced education in that era, the young Zhang Guotao was quickly exposed to many new ideas after entering the university, and under the impetus of the constantly developing national conditions, he threw himself into the revolutionary cause.
In this process, Zhang Guotao participated in the "May Fourth Movement", which is very famous in modern history, and became the chairman of the Beijing Federation of Students, and is a well-deserved leader among students.
At the same time, Zhang Guotao also became acquainted with Mr. Li Dazhao and developed a strong interest in Marxism. In order to further promote the development of the revolution, Zhang Guotao followed in the footsteps of Mr. Li Dazhao and joined the ranks of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
As one of the earliest members of our party, Zhang Guotao became a member of the founding group of our party, and held important positions in the party for a long time afterward, and was one of the early leaders of our party.
At the beginning of the founding of the party, Zhang Guotao did have a firm belief, but as time passed, Zhang Guotao's belief became like a candle in the wind, becoming erratic and in danger of being extinguished at any time.
After being arrested by the Kuomintang once, Zhang Guotao revealed to the Kuomintang the list of members of our party, but after he was released from prison, he concealed the matter and continued to work within the party.
Zhang Guotao's practice can be said to have put the safety of many members of the party at risk, but he concealed all this for his own selfish interests.
In the subsequent revolutionary work, Zhang Guotao was criticized by the party for his excessively radical political views. It's a common thing, because everyone makes mistakes.
But Zhang Guotao was resentful because of this and threw himself into the arms of the Kuomintang. In order to gain the trust of the Kuomintang, Zhang Guotao began to vigorously criticize our party, staging one farce after another, but at the end of the war, his unfirm will also made him pay the price.
When the Kuomintang fled in a hurry, Zhang Guotao also fled to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-shek, but what he did not expect was that the Kuomintang did not trust him and was unwilling to arrange a job for him.
After spending a struggling life in Taiwan, Zhang Guotao had no choice but to move his family to Hong Kong. Here, Zhang Guotao made a living by writing manuscripts about current affairs, but his life was still difficult.
Zhang Guotao, who was almost impoverished, got in touch with our party again and said that he was willing to return to the mainland to work, as long as he could give him some subsidies and let him live.
Regarding Zhang Guotao's appeal, ** only gave a brief reply, to the effect that if Zhang Guotao wants to return to China, he must cut off contact with the Americans. That's right, at the time of suing for peace with **, Zhang Guotao still kept in touch with the Americans and accepted funding from the Americans.
Zhang Guotao may not have thought that after many years, he once again stood at the fork in the road of fate and faced a difficult choice. In the end, Zhang Guotao did not return to China, but sided with the United States.
He moved to Canada, where he spent the last 11 years of his life, and died of illness in Toronto at the age of 82.
Looking back on Zhang Guotao's life, we can find that he has the nature of a snake and a rat, always looking for opportunities for speculation, but unfortunately, he made a wrong judgment every time, so that he was lonely in old age, lived in a nursing home without care, and finally passed away alone.
