Enterprising
I always tell you bhikshus to understand the teachings I teach, just as you understand the metaphors of rafts. Since even the teachings should be put down, let alone those things that are not part of the teachings?
The Buddha often taught the bhikshus that the Dharma is like a ferry boat that helps us cross the river. However, after crossing the river, we had to abandon the boat because it was no longer needed.
The same is true of the Dharma. We have to give up the Dharma in order to transcend it and pursue a higher realm. After all, if we have to abandon even the Dharma, then what else is there to insist on for other illegal things?
Buddhism teaches us not to cling to anything, just like a bamboo raft is abandoned after crossing a river. This renunciation also applies to attachment to the Dharma, not to mention worldly knowledge and experience.
The true emptiness of all means that we should not be satisfied with the knowledge and experience we already have, but should constantly expand our horizons.
We need to abandon the old systems of thought that were once beneficial in order to continue to push ourselves through and achieve true freedom. Only in this way can we continue to improve.
Some people think that Buddhism makes people negative because they are afraid that studying Buddhism will make people lose their motivation. However, this view is actually a misunderstanding of Buddhism.
From a secular point of view, aggressiveness is a very important quality; From a Buddhist point of view, initiative is also affirmed and encouraged.
Buddhism is not about giving up on the pursuit of success and progress, but rather about how to maintain peace of mind and kindness in the pursuit of these goals.
Therefore, studying Buddhism does not diminish people's enterprising spirit, on the contrary, it can help people better understand themselves and the world, so that they can be more motivated to pursue their goals.
Buddhism is meant to keep us motivated and not obsessed with success. Being enterprising means that we have the mindset to pursue progress and the desire to pursue better.
However, in our pursuit, we will be proud if we succeed; But if we fail, we may feel humiliated, which is the obsession and excessive focus on success.
We will have our own values for the things we pursue. There are some things that we care about so much that we think are very important, and when we can't do it, it's very painful.
We also cling to our own experiences and methods as the best path to success, and become self-righteous and reluctant to accept the opinions of others.
Even at work, we feel exhausted, anxious and uneasy due to our insistence on our own opinions, antagonism and conflict with others. It is necessary to change this situation.
To strive for progress without getting tired, we need to have a kind of emptiness and realize that everything is a cause.
Only in this way can we transcend our attachment to phenomena, have no place to live, and remain at ease while being aggressive.
No dwelling heart
To maintain inner peace, you should not be swayed by the colors of the outside world, nor should you be drawn by sounds, aromas, tastes, touches, or other things. We should learn to be free from attachment in order to truly appreciate inner peace.
Understanding that all phenomena are illusory, we should develop a pure mind of supreme enlightenment. Don't indulge in the material world, but pursue a state of mind that is supremely enlightened.
If we are attached to material phenomena, it is the illusory mentality of ordinary people. Instead of dwelling on phenomena such as sounds, aromas, tastes, sensations, and memories, we should be cling-free.
Attachment to nothing doesn't mean doing nothing, nor does it mean thinking about nothing. We should be detached, but that doesn't stop us from thinking and acting.
We should be free from attachment to worldly things, so that it is possible to truly comprehend the Dharma.
Today's society is an era of rampant materialism, money worship and hedonism.
Some people focus more on superficial entertainment topics such as movies, fashion, food, football, and celebrities, and rarely talk about deeper issues such as life, ideals, country, and society.
We live in a colorful and dazzling world, and it is also our right to enjoy modern material civilization.
However, we cannot become material slaves, get lost in the tide of money worship, and thus lose our spiritual home. We need to balance our material and spiritual needs, and constantly pursue inner fulfillment and growth.
of the Diamond Sutra"No residence"The heart is a state of mind that can reduce the stress of modern people, so that they can maintain a clear and bright heart.
In the face of the hectic and chaotic material desires, we must use the wisdom of Vajra Prajna to cut these desires so that we can elevate our lives to a pure and bright state.
This realm is like the full moon in the heart of the sky, full of light and clarity.
Human life is not only about material satisfaction, but also about a fulfilling spiritual world. True wealth does not lie in material accumulation, but in spiritual enrichment;
True happiness does not lie in material enjoyment, but in spiritual satisfaction.
However, we often fall into the dilemma of "mediocrity and self-disturbance", overthinking our own problems, which is the main reason why we are troubled by ourselves.
Therefore, we should reduce unnecessary thinking and make our lives more fluid and comfortable.
When the heart is full of troubles, even with high status and wealth in society, life can become empty and boring.
If our dreams are lost in our hearts, then high-rise buildings are just a cage from which we cannot escape, and delicious food will only become our poison.
The ancients once said: "Peace of mind is worry-free, and peace of mind is happiness". As long as our hearts are calm and settled, even if it is only simple coarse tea and light rice and thatched huts, we can feel inner peace and ease, which is far better than the delicacies of the mountains and the sea and luxurious houses.
No dwelling heart
The heart of the past is gone, the heart of the present is unpredictable, and the heart of the future is also difficult to grasp.
The heart of the past is no longer elusive, the heart of the present is also difficult to grasp, and the heart of the future is even more elusive. (It's just a series of conscious phenomena that arise from external sensory stimuli that constantly make us mistakenly think that this is our mind.) )
The past is gone, and we should release our hearts and not cling to attachments. Many people in this world wallow in the pride or remorse of the past.
However, past achievements and mistakes have become a thing of the past, and it is impossible to go back in time and find the true meaning of the heart.
The future, like an abstract painting, is full of infinite possibilities. We can't predict exactly where the future will go, and pinning our hopes on the future may just be a game of speculation, leaving our minds in endless reverie.
The future has not yet arrived, and people's desire for the future is nothing more than a fantasy of beauty, looking forward to the ultimate revelation of truth. We are often chasing the steps of the future, longing for unknown possibilities. However, the future is not something we can easily grasp.
It is like a blooming flower, beautiful and mysterious, and we can only find its true meaning in speculation and expectation. Our yearning for the future is just a yearning for the unknown, and imagining the future is just a yearning for beauty.
However, it is precisely because the future is full of infinite possibilities that we are looking forward to it. We believe that the future will lead to a better life and a better world.
We hope that in the future, we will be able to answer our search for truth and reveal the meaning of life. We pin our hopes on the future and trust that the future will give us answers. Although the truth of the future is as elusive as a fog, we still firmly believe that the future is worth chasing.
It is the yearning for the future that gives us the motivation to move forward and allows us to bravely face unknown challenges. The future is the goal we strive for, and the other side of our dreams.
Perhaps, we will never be able to fully understand the truth of the future, but it is this sense of mystery of the unknown that makes us full of longing for the future. No matter how the future comes, we should cherish the present and live in every moment of the present.
Because only by cherishing the present, can we better welcome the arrival of the future and make the future the continuation and realization of our dreams. The future may be illusory, but it is this illusion that fills us with infinite imagination for the future.
Let us keep our yearning for the future and believe that the future will give us more hope and opportunities. Only in this way can we continue to move forward on the road of the future and pursue our own truth.
Why can't we grasp the present thoughts? The Buddha once taught us that there are 90 births and deaths in a single thought, and the speed is not comparable to lightning.
The generation and disappearance of thoughts are so rapid that by the time we become aware of them, they are a thing of the past. Therefore, we call it "the heart is unattainable now". The explanation for this phenomenon lies in our inability to truly capture the moment of our mind.
They come and go in a hurry, and we can't catch them. We are often so caught up in our past or future thoughts that we can't really live in the present. Our minds are constantly flowing, but it's hard for us to grasp their moments.
This phenomenon also reminds us how to better face life in this moment. We should learn to let go of our past and future thoughts and focus on the experience of the present.
It is only in this moment of awareness that we can truly experience the beauty of life. When we learn to cherish every moment, we can truly feel the presence of the present mind.
Although we can't fully capture the moment of our mind, we can improve our awareness through meditation and focused training.
By cultivating sensitivity and focus on the present moment, we can better experience the presence of the present mind. In short, the reason why the mind is unattainable now is that the mind is changing rapidly, and it is difficult for us to capture their moments.
However, by cultivating awareness and concentration, we can better experience the beauty of the present moment. Let's learn to cherish every moment and live in the experience of the moment.
The reason we can't let go of it is that we are always stuck in our thoughts about the past, present, or future. Indulging in vain thoughts will inevitably lead to the liberation of the mind.
Letting go of attachments to the past, present, and future is the liberation of our minds. Do not indulge in the memories of the past, do not dwell on the predicament of the present, and do not be anxious about the uncertainty of the future.
Only by freeing ourselves from the attachment to these three hearts can we truly see things as they are and face everything in life with ease.
Therefore, only by understanding the unattainable three minds, freeing ourselves from the shackles of the heart, and giving up attachments, can we achieve physical and mental relaxation and ease.
Go with the flow
Everything is finite, like a dreamlike bubble. They are as fleeting as dew and disappear as instantly as lightning. We should look at them through this lens.
Fadu is like a dream bubble, ethereal, and indescribable. It is as fleeting as dew, and disappears in an instant like lightning. The elusive, the unspeakable, should be taken as a matter of consideration.
Life is like a dream, like a bubble of happiness and suffering, success or failure is as short as morning dew, glory and wealth are as erratic as floating clouds, and fame and fortune are as illusory as a mirror.
Everything in the universe is constantly changing, and it cannot stand still. We're just passing by and can't have what we love forever.
We only have the right to use everything in heaven and earth for a short time, but we cannot get eternal ownership.
When a person is able to understand that the essence of all things is determined by the birth and death of fate, he will be able to see through himself, happiness, fame, beauty, and so on.
In this way, he will have an open heart to all things in the world, and gradually understand not to be too persistent, but to deal with things with a casual attitude. In good times, he will cherish everything in front of him, take advantage of opportunities to achieve his career, and live a happy life;
In times of adversity, he will calmly face and endure all kinds of hardships, resolve the problems in life, and still be able to smile at life and live a relaxed life. Whether it is good times or bad, he can calmly face the joys and sorrows of the world, the heat and cold, and transcend success and failure, honor and disgrace, gains and losses, and even life and death.
He will go with the flow of fate and not be attached to the ups and downs of life, so as to realize the wisdom of life.
