How do I draw dotted lines with Calent CAD?
It's actually very simple, as with most CAD software, you only need to set the corresponding linetype in the layer management.
If you haven't started drawing yet, you may want to create the layers you need for easier use and management, such as those with dotted lines.
Click on the top bar of the editor page to enter "Layer Management" (or shortcut key LA), as shown in the image:
Then "New Layer", set the name, color, line type, line width and other parameters of the layer.
The system provides a variety of standard line types of solid lines and dotted lines, as well as custom line types; Finish setting up the layerSet Current, the current layer is used when drawing(The same can be done for other layers).
If you skip the above settings and still need to change the solid lines you have drawn to dashed lines, you can also complete the replacement by toggling the linetype of the layer you are on (which can be used for bulk replacement of elements on the same layer).
Alternatively, select the element object that needs to be changed and reselect the desired linetype through the Properties palette. As shown below:
In the process of drawing, sometimes the following questions are encountered: why is the line still a solid line when the dotted line has been set?
Before that, it is also necessary to check whether the linetype has been successfully changed (which can be verified by the "Properties" tool), and if it is okay here, then the reason why the dotted line is not displayed is likely to be due to the large size difference and the dotted line effect in the drawing is not displayed correctly.
SolutionAdjust the Line Scale Scale
You can make changes to the Linetype Scale in the Properties toolbar or in the system settings. The difference is that the special *** column can set the properties of the selected elements individually, while the scale change in the system settings (shortcut key op) is global.
That's it for Calent's CAD dotted line drawing.
