Foreign media tested 6 pieces of split water cooled radiators, and half of them had publicity proble

IT Home reported on March 6 that the German media IGOR had recently arrived'Slab tested 6 radiators for split water cooling to see if the actual products met the advertisement, and found that half had problems.

Generally speaking, high-quality split water-cooled radiators should be made of pure copper in the waterway part, and copper-zinc alloy (brass) is also feasible but will reduce the heat dissipation efficiency.

Products participating in the test include:

Nexxxos ST30 Full Copper 120mm from AlphaCool;

Airplex Radical 2 120 from Aqua Computer;

CR-RD120RC-TN-V2 from Bykski ("BY");

EK-Quantum Surface P120M Black Edition from EKWB;

Black Ice from Hardware Labs Nemesis 120GTS Xflow;

Heatkiller 120-S Radiator Black Edition from Watercool.

The test results showed that Aqua Computer's products used only copper, a metal in the waterways, as described; AlphaCool's Nexxxos ST30 Full Copper 120mm performed mostly well, with slight rust marks on the solder; In addition, the Black Ice Nemesis 120GTS XFflow radiator advertises that some of the materials used in pure copper are correct, and the overall use of brass is larger.

The remaining three products have their own problems:

Bykski advertises a pure copper (copper) waterway for the radiator, but in some waterways brass with a zinc content of 20%.

Bykski CR-RD120RC-TN-V2 Solder Test Results CR-RD120RC-TN-V2 radiator also showed flux residue in the test, and the threads were pure copper that was too soft.

Bykski officially confirmed that there was a problem with the product, and the small batch of products involved will be removed from the shelves and recalled.

In the case of the EK-Quantum Surface P120M, EKWB claimed that it used "Copper H90" in its waterways, and tests proved that it was referring to a brass alloy with 90% copper, which was inappropriately advertised.

In addition, the samples tested for EK also had problems with incomplete flux cleaning.

On the Heatkiller 120-S Radiator Black Radiator from Watercool, the manufacturer promises that the waterway part is pure copper, and in the actual test, it is brass, which is falsely advertised. And not only that, igor'Slab said Watercool also modified its collateral after the test article was published to create the illusion that brass was always promoted.
