Hello everyone, I decided to study in Japan because I like Japanese comics. After graduating in June 23, I went to Japan to take the exam, and I applied for a total of 6 schools for the summer and winter examsFinally, in the sixthEligible for MBA from Kyoto University
Exam preparation planning.
Exam time
Because I decided to study abroad in my freshman year, I have been taking classes seriously for four years to brush up my grade points (I personally think it is very necessary, and the students around me who decide to study abroad in their junior year must tearfully retake the grade point emmmm in their junior and senior years).
Freshman and sophomore: I learned Japanese from scratch in my freshman year, passed the N1 exam in my sophomore year, and started to take classes in Zhiyuan at the same time, but I mainly focused on college coursework and studied hard to brush up my grades.
Junior: I signed up for N1 and TOEFL in the summer vacation of my junior year, although I also have professional courses in writing a plan, but I am mainly language-based, N1 has no special preparation because I have passed the test in my sophomore year, mainly focusing on TOEFL brushing questions, practicing a full set of TPO, and I have no more scores as soon as I get into the soul.
Senior year: Because the language scores are ready, I will do my best to prepare for the major courses and plans, and prepare for graduation by the way**.
Direct entrance examination in Japan after graduation: 20238-10: I stayed in Japan for 3 months, took 5 exams, and was wiped out.
2023.11: Travel visa to Japan again, take the MBA exam of Beijing University, and finally pass.
Exam preparation is difficult
It may be that because of the matching undergraduate major, there is no big problem in the study of professional courses. However, I personally think that the biggest difficulty is the research proposal.
There is almost no cultivation of academic ability in domestic undergraduates, so it was quite painful when I wrote the proposal, and it took nearly 1 year to determine the topic after writing 3 versions of the proposal (because I was more dish-oriented, and other students did not have so long).
Thank you very much to my homeroom teacher, Mr. Kobayashi, we have talked about the plan in writing countless times, and thank you for the patience of the teacher.
Another very important challenge is mentality. Because the summer exams are relatively concentrated, it is often the case that you will leave school A today and take the exam at school B tomorrow. It's important to adjust your mindset.
Petition type
There are quite a lot of school books for the summer exam, and most of them need to be mailed in paper copies. However, the Kyoto MBA is purely online, and there is no need to study the proposal (the proposal is written in vain), and the main thing is to submit Japanese, English, and graduation certificates. It should be noted that Beijing University has a pre-examination (AAO), which is mainly to review your academic qualifications, and I personally think that you will not be stuck.
It is not difficult to see from the submitted materials that language scores are important! In particular, English will be converted directly into the final grade. The specific conversion ratio is about 200 points in professional courses + 100 points in small ** + 100 points in English, English accounts for one-4, if the other two are not very confident, TOEFL recommends 90+ (TOEIC has not been tested and is not very clear).
Written test content
The written MBA exam is divided into two sessions, two hours in the morning and one hour in the afternoon.
Let's talk about the professional class first, complete the two big questions in two hours, and if you practice the past questions, you can write them completely. The first question is usually a noun explanation and may limit the number of words. Personally, I think that the overall examination questions of Beijing University are decent, because the summer examination has passed the written examination of Tokyo University, and the professional courses have a certain foundation, so the written examination of Beijing University basically relies on eating the old book.
However, I also read a book for the written examination of Beijing University, and I recommend Akirong Iriyama's "World Standard Management Theory", which can basically cover the content of the examination of Beijing University. The questions in this year's exam are relatively basic, and in order to differentiate, I added some knowledge points that are not usually used in the "World Standard Management Theory" in order to differentiate.
The second is the small **, the small ** of Beijing University in previous years is not public, so I can only hear from the seniors about what they have probably tested. Because I heard that the average score of Xiao ** is not high, everyone can't open the gap, and because I asked the reason for not making it public in the past, I didn't have any special preparations.
There are two questions this year, the first is about starting a business, and explain your chosen industry and approach to stakeholders. I've heard that in the past year, there have been questions related to the reasons for aspirations, and the overall is relatively flexible.
The second question is to read a long passage and then answer the question. This year's article is quite long, with three pages, and it is written vertically from right to left, which is a bit difficult to read. I didn't fully understand it, because the time was very tight, so I wrote whatever came to my mind, and I wrote a lot of words.
Interview questions
There is no interview for the MBA at Kyoto University
In the summer, I participated in interviews at the University of Tokyo, Kyushu University, and Yokohama National University, but neither of them passed EMMMMM. Personally, I think that a sense of confidence is more important, and the rest is luck, so don't care too much.
Junior advice
The uncertainty of the entrance examination in Japan is really huge, and most people will fall off the list compared to the number of people who pass, so it is important to look at the results rationally.
Also, try to prepare as early as possible! Studying in Japan itself has a long front, and most people will encounter a situation where college classmates are on a graduation trip, and you are studying at night.
Occasionally go and relax yourself).
