On March 2, the Dongzongbu Branch of Dongcheng District Library held a unique "Little Librarian" volunteer activity. A total of 12 young readers participated in this event, they came from different schools, but they all had the same belief, that is, to learn the spirit of Lei Feng and strive to be a good boy in the new era.
At the beginning of the activity, the young readers enthusiastically shared their eyes of Lei Feng's story and Lei Feng spirit, under the leadership of the teacher, 12 young readers recited in unison the theme poem "Learning from Lei Feng" "A figure away from us", the children's clear voice was full of emotion, so that the parents and teachers present were moved.
Next, the librarian trained the young volunteers to help them understand the basic knowledge and skills of library management. The young volunteers listened carefully, actively asked questions, and showed great enthusiasm. In the volunteer service link, everyone was divided into four groups to carry out services such as book repair, sorting and shelving, and reader guidance in the library, and the little volunteers carried forward the spirit of Lei Feng, helped each other, and made progress together, showing the good style of teenagers in the new era.
After the event, the Dongzongbu Library commended the young volunteers and sent a letter of commendation to thank them for their contributions to the library. The little volunteers said that through this activity, they have a deeper understanding of the connotation of Lei Feng's spirit, and must bring the spirit of Lei Feng to school, family and other aspects, and strive to grow into a good boy with ideals, morality, culture and discipline in the new era under the guidance of Lei Feng's spirit.
The success of the "Little Librarian" volunteer activity not only allowed the children to spend a meaningful weekend, but also allowed them to experience the fun and meaning of volunteering. Dongzongbu Library will continue to hold similar activities to provide a platform for young people to learn, practice and grow.
