Recently, the news of the public procurement of a large number of UAVs by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has attracted widespread attention. Although Chinese companies have banned the sale of drones in Russia and Ukraine, there are still illegal operations and smuggling channels that lead to the use of these drones for military purposes. This situation raises the importance of regulating the use of drones.
However, the use of UAVs as a technological product is not limited to the military field. Civilian UAVs are favored by foreign militaries, police forces and other units because of their superior performance and cost-effectiveness. In addition to the shooting function, the drone can also be used for a variety of purposes such as low-altitude transportation, line patrol, fire fighting, etc. This multifaceted nature makes drones have a wide range of application prospects in all walks of life.
However, it is precisely because of this multifaceted nature that drones also face some challenges and risks. For example, some drones may become "killer weapons" after being modified, and this behavior must be explicitly prohibited and cracked down on by law.
