Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry attended the Caribbean Community summit in Guyana a week ago and then traveled to Kenya, where he discussed the multinational security support mission that the country is looking forward to, according to the EFE news agency on March 4. His whereabouts have been unknown since then, but there are reports that he left Kenya on 2 March.

Whether Ariel Henry has returned home is a mystery. Despite rumours that he may be arriving in Haiti, when the Efe news agency asked people close to him for information, they were met with silence.

According to the report, Haiti's finance minister, Michel Patrick Boiswell, is currently serving as Haiti's interim prime minister in Henry's absence. It was he who signed the order on the 3rd to impose a state of emergency and a 72-hour curfew in the Western Province, where the capital, Port-au-Prince, is located.

Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Edward Davies was quoted as saying that in Guyana, Ariel Henry had promised to hold elections by August 31, 2025.

Just after the announcement of the elections, attacks by armed gangs in the Port-au-Prince area increased from last week, and they said they would continue the operation until Henry**.

Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Juston Brown also said Henry was willing to share power with the opposition to find a solution to the crisis.

Kenya and Haiti signed an agreement in Nairobi to allow for the deployment of a contingent of 1,000 Kenyan police officers to Haiti as part of a multinational mission, the report added. (Compiled by Wang Meng).
