Thankfully, with the continuous advancement of technology, the current three generations of engines have been optimized for these problems, and there is basically no more oil burning. 
In addition, carbon deposition is also a major concern for the EA888 engine. The engine intake duct and the back of the valve are prone to a large amount of carbon deposits, which will not only lead to engine shake and increased fuel consumption during cold driving, but also cause the fault light to light up and warn in severe cases. To solve this problem, the intake manifold needs to be removed and the carbon deposits on the back of the valve need to be thoroughly cleaned. 
Finally, we also need to pay attention to timing chain elongation and squeaky noise. The elongation of the timing chain will cause the failure light of the driving instrument to light up, the engine will make abnormal noises, and may be accompanied by phenomena such as shaking and acceleration weakness. In severe cases, it can even lead to top valves. The solution is to replace the timing chain with a new one, as well as the tensioner, which is recommended to be replaced every 100,000 km. The problem of abnormal noise is more complex, requiring patience and accurate identification of the source of the fault and then replacing it with a new component.
