The anime "idolm@ster Shiny Colors", which is a spin-off of Bandai Namco's two-dimensional page game, announced this Saturday that it will premiere on April 6 with a new trailer.
Prior to the premiere of this TV anime, it was already shown in theaters in the form of three theatrical films. The first film was released in Japan from Oct. 27 to Nov. 16 and grossed 40284350 yen (about $268,100) in its opening weekend
The second film was released in Japan on November 24 and lasted until December 14. The third film runs from January 5 to January 25. The film was released in 75 theaters in 47 prefectures in Japan.
Mankyu is the director of the animation studio Polygon Pictures. Yoichi Kato was in charge of supervising the production and writing of the series. "Tsubasa Gr**ity" is the opening theme song of this anime.
Bandai Namco Entertainment's Idol Master: Shining Colors browser game was launched in April 2018. In this free-to-play game, players can train idols and compete against other producers in live concerts. In addition to the game itself, the project has also spawned events, merchandise, CDs, and radio shows.
Bandai Namco Entertainment also released the mobile game "Idol Master: Shining Colors" in April last year.
